Grapevine is one of the best local bands around Pittsburgh. Their first CD, Star, has gotten tons of attention from local radio stations as well as Pittsburghers. Maybe that's because their songs are so catchy. Or maybe it's because they write honest, powerful songs. "Me & Miss America", in my opinion, is one of the best rock & roll songs of all time. And "Small" has such powerful, touching lyrics. These guys really have what it takes to make it in the music biz. (And hey, maybe someday we'll all see their smiling faces, on the cover of the rolling stone.) Jean-Marc's vocals are nothing short of beautiful (He isn't too bad to look at himself ~wink wink~) and the guitar riffs are perfect on every song. The first time I ever saw GVN was October 8th at Clarion University. They were opening for the Buzz Poets and the Clarks. I really enjoyed it. GVN is so in touch with the crowd. They know what we want to see. And the great thing about GVN is that they sound exactly the same, whether in the recording studio or live. If you have the chance, check them out. Go to my Media
