Donald Scott Donald Morgan Scott, 70, a resident of Severna Park for 44 years, died of prostate cancer Aug. 4, 2000 at Gilchrist Hospice Center in Baltimore after an eight-year illness. Mr. Scott was born in Metuchen, N.J., and raised in western New York. He graduated from high school in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and from the University of Michigan with a degree in electrical engineering and a commission in the Air Force. He served during the Korean War as a special weapons officer and six years as a captain in the Air Force Reserve. Later Mr. Scott worked at the Westinghouse Electrical Corp. for 40 years. In 1994, he retired after holding various positions as a senior technical consultant. A member of the Deep Creek Yacht Club in western Maryland, Mr. Scott enjoyed sailing and skiing. He was also very active in his community association. Surviving is his wife, Mary Lou Blake Scott, whom he married in 1953; three sons, Mark Thomas Scott of Brandenburg, Ky., Gregory Stuart Scott of Santa Clara, Calif., and Jeffrey Morgan Scott of Millersville; one daughter, Carolyn Scott Roberts of Perry Hall; one brother, Richard Scott of Newark, Del.; one sister, Amy Grieger of Mackinaw City, Mich.; and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Norman Scott. A funeral service will be will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 110 Ritchie Highway in Pasadena.
