We are the inside family known as MakersDozn. This is because there were 13 of us
inside—that we knew of  —when we first
created this site. There are now 47 of us. We wanted to create a safe place for inner
children; for survivors of abuse and other forms of trauma; and especially for those who
identify as multiple or plural. This condition is commonly known as Dissociative Identity
Disorder or Multiple Personality Disorder, although we don't
see ourselves as disordered.
We have tried to make The Gathering Place as safe as possible while still allowing our
visitors to take responsibility for their own well-being. Links in or from our site that
may not feel safe are marked with an exclamation point for  "Caution" or 
"May Trigger."
Also, here at The Gathering Place, you have a choice whether or not to listen to the
MIDI files we've provided for you.
If at any time you do not feel safe, STOP and come back later. We want you to take care of
you!
