ENTIRE POST/ANSWERS: « Reply #1 by Peggy » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, from the information you gave me, I came up with the following... The Opal doe is: A_ B_ Cc dd Ee enen, she got the "c" from her WHite sire, and the "e" from her Red dam. The Red dam is: A_ B_ C_ Dd ee enen; she must carry dilute, since she was able to produce a dilute (Opal). The White sire is: _a _ _ cc _d _ _ _ _; the reason there are so many blanks is because I do not know the varieties of his other offspring in the litter with the Red doe. He must be "cc", as he is an albino. He must carry dilute as he was able to produce a dilute, and he must carry "a" since one of his parents was a self. I do not know if he carries one or two broken genes, or none. Since his other parent was also a white, we are unable to see what else he may be hiding under his pretty white fur; until he starts producing more bunnies, we won't know what he is hiding. This is my opinion. I look forward to hearing other's opinions, and the answer. |
