Trine sat upon the roof of The Reliant Energy Plaza (real building) in Houston, as she let he feet dangle from the edge she began to think about what she would have to do soon. Suddenly the elevator doors opened and out walked a man wearing a suit, his grim expression on his face stated that he knew about what Trine would have to do.
"I came as fast as I could" said Mr. Wyld, Brian's father.
"Have you come to hate me?" asked Trine quietly as she looked at the city.
"No, I have come to give you my Condolences. Even though he is my son, I say that after what you have done I will hold nothing against you" said Mr. Wyld as he sat down beside her.
"I hear your words but I do not believe them, your heart will always hate me just like you hate the Deymons for killing your wife" replied Trine as Mr. Wyld opened his mouth to reply but then closed it. "After the Deymon is dead I will leave Earth, the Deymon Empire will fall after its leader is dead. They will leave and Earth will be safe, when they hear about Brian they will force all their hate on the Deymons toward me but I will all ready of left. Earth will be better off if I am gone so that it will have the chance to forget about this nightmare and recuperate,” added Trine in a voice full of sorrow.
"You can't leave, we might need you" replied Mr. Wyld.
"And what would be done with me, would I continue with school with fear and hate filled eyes on me. Or should I join the army so that I will have to kill humans, no there is nothing that can be done with me. It will be the best thing that I leave,” said Trine as she pulled her knees up to her chin, she then opened her small wings for balance.
"Where will you go when you leave?" asked Mr. Wyld.
"Earth has a second moon that is invisible to the human eye, it is filled with creatures called Dragons. They will take me in and I will live with them,” replied Trine.
"When will you leave?" asked Mr. Wyld is a soft voice.
"I will do it tonight, then I will leave in the morning" said Trine as she stood up; Mr. Wyld nodded as he stood up.
"I will leave you to do your thinking,” replied the man as he entered the elevator and closed the doors. Trine then looked at her watch and found that it was close to midnight, she sighed before she spread her wings and leapt off the building; she then began to make her way home. She had informed Brian that there was something important that she needed to talk about and to meet her in her backyard. When she spotted him she circled down and landed.
"Well, why am I here?" asked Brian as the hair on the back of his neck began to rise.
"I asked you to come because there are a few things we need to talk about, Death" said Trine as she fluttered her wings. Brian started to protest but seeing that his cover was blown he stopped.
"So what gave me away?" asked the Deymon Death through Brian.
"Brian would of never of come, he would of made an excuse" replied Trine as her gray eyes flashed.
"Well now that you know who I am, what are you going to do about?" asked Death.
"Nothing for now, I have come to make an offer. Take me instead and leave Earth forever" replied Trine.
"And what makes you think that I would accept such an offer?" asked Death as he sneered.
"Because instead of killing me you could have a power that no other Deymon could have" replied Trine as she summoned her armor, it glowed in the moonlight as if daunting the Deymon to take it. Death growled before its disintegrated body came rushing out of Brian, it shot toward Trine but suddenly it froze.
"But before I let you take my body, you must put Brian's soul back" said Trine as the dust like body rattled angrily when sudden Brian shook his head and stood up.
"Wha-whats going on?" asked Brian but he was never answered for the Deymon was free and shot toward Trine, it quickly slipped into her body and began to take control.
"Ah the power, it is mine" said Death in her head, but before he had complete control she grunted as she slowly pulled out her sword and held the point above her heart. "Wait, what are you doing?" asked the Deymon as it sought to gain control of the arm.
"Its now time for your demise" shouted Trine as she plunged the sword down. As she fell to her knees she looked up at Brian and said, "I had to save the world; ask your father". Suddenly she could say no more for she quickly disintegrated, as she left an angry howl of the strongest Deymon was heard but it quickly faded away. Brian stood dumbfounded before he shook his head and began to run home.
Trine opened her eyes to find herself in a place that was beyond words; it seemed to have all the elements there. When she stood up a Zesh appeared, only he had two pairs of wings that started as dragon scales and ended in feathers.
"Welcome Trine, this is a place that Zesh go to when they have died but they have to have proven themselves worthy. Of all us Zesh you were the most courageous and the only one that saved a planet, and in reward you are awarded the chance at life. But the only problem is that you may not return to Earth, you must find a partner before you can return" said the Zesh.
"I thank you for the life, but where will I go if I cannot return to Earth?" asked Trine as her armor and the wound disappeared.
"You will arrive at a place called The Braethas Raug, you will know what to do when you arrive" replied the Zesh as a glowed orb appeared. Trine nodded before she touched it and was transported to Braethas Raug. |
