Trine refused to leave for if there really was a fire, her small wings would of fluttered a warning. "This smells like a trap,” said Trine as her armor appeared, she pulled out her sword and stepped out of the classroom. She walked silently and stayed close to the walls and in the shadows even though it was day, suddenly she began to hear whispers. She then stepped behind one of the brick pillars and began to listen to the conversation; she now could tell that there were two sixth-graders that were held hostage by Deymons. She then flexed her fingers before she leapt out from behind the pillar, scarring the Deymons into battle. *** The battle ended quickly and the students were none to happy to return to school, and angry teachers. For Trine, the day passed quickly; when the last bell had rung she was all ready outside. She then launched into the air and began to make her way toward Earth's invisible moon. When she arrived it looked as if she had just missed the war, there were dragons on the ground that was either dead or unconscious. The trees and plants were slowly regenerating to their normal phase, she shook her head and began to speed up so that she may see how the council dragon in doing. As she landed in the cave she called out and no one responded. She was about to make a louder call; when suddenly the ground beneath disappeared. When she landed on solid ground she found that she was in a tunnel and at the end she saw Ferath beckoning her to come. The light blue dragon led her through twists and turns and finally came to a stop in a small room with cracks in the walls. "Go to the cracks and look through,” said the dragon quietly, Trine nodded and walked to a crack. She took a breath as she looked through the crack but the breath was lost for there in the center of the cave were the two black-eyed Deymons. "Death, I have brought you the human boy like we planned" said one of the Deymons as it tossed a familiar looking teen to the ground in front of the other Deymon. Trine silently gasped for the familiar looking boy was Brian. "Good work Chaos, I knew that working with you as a partner would get me the boy. Now we can use him as bait and bring the Deymon slaying human to her demise" replied the Deymon named Death. Chaos nodded in reply but snarled and hissed as Death picked Brian up by the neck. "We agreed that I would get to posses the human,” shouted Chaos as he began to summon his dark powers. "I lied" hissed Death as he tossed the human to the ground and charged Chaos. The two Deymons fought in a gory and endless looking battle for the winner would have the chance to kill Trine and take over Earth. It seemed like days had passed when one of the Deymons stopped fighting, they clutched their chest as they fell to the ground. The other Deymon stood over him as they began to disintegrate; when the second Deymon was gone the one alive sneered and roared. "You fought well,” said Death as he scanned the room for Brian, he hissed when he spotted the boy trying to make an escape. Death quickly grabbed the boy by the collar of his shirt and held him up, the Deymon began to disintegrate but it didn't disappear. The particles quickly flowed into the boy, as the Deymon fought for control of his new body Trine was trying to summon her armor. "No, it's not over yet,” said Ferath as Trine stopped and continued to look through the crack. "Good, this body will serve me well,” said Death with Brian's mouth, suddenly Brian disappeared in a dark flash. "I saw, but I don't understand,” said Trine as she looked away from the crack and at Ferath. "What you saw was the battle of the two strongest Deymons trying to gain power, one of them succeed by killing the other. Before, they agreed to a partnership and kidnapped your friend in order to use him and bait and draw you out. Instead of just taking him hostage, the Deymon has taken over Brian completely. The friend you knew is no longer alive, even if the Deymon releases him the boy will be nothing but an empty shell" replied Ferath as Zyth stood out in the tunnel. "So what you're saying but not saying is that to save the world I have to kill Brian?" asked Trine with tear filled eyes. The light blue dragon slowly nodded her head. "But I can't kill him, isn't there another way?" pleaded Trine as he wings hanged limply by her side. "I'm afraid not child" replied Ferath as she shook her head, in a state of fear and sorrow Trine ran into the tunnels and out the hole. She launched into the air and began to fly wildly in a random direction. "You knew that she was going to do that, didn't you?" asked Zyth as he stepped into the small room. "Yes, but she has to know or Earth would of been lost" replied Ferath as her head drooped. "But couldn't you of given her a hint to a way she could of saved the boy?" asked Zyth as his dark blue scales gleamed. "I did give her a hint, I told her that there was no other way. She will find a way to save the boy, but at what costs I fear that I do not know,” replied Ferath as she lifted her head up. "Lets just hope that Trine is willing to do what she will have to do,” said Zyth as he sat down beside his mate. "I agree" was all the light blue dragon could say before the cracked wall disappeared and a mirror like wall arrived in its place, instead of showing the dragons it showed Trine leaving the invisible moon and returning to Earth. "Do not fear human, I know that you will find a way to save your friend" thought Ferath as she watched the Zesh sadly. |
