Since about 1986 Belinda has been very active with animal rights from participating in rallies & protests to working behind the scenes as well with education & allowing, PETA booths at her (Belinda's) concerts. Belinda has a strong empathy for animals & a desire to change the way they are treated.

PETA one of Belinda's favorite animal rights group has also brought the animal rights movement to Hollywood. PETA also has held several "Rock Against Fur" and "Fur Is a Drag" benefit concerts featuring The B-52's, k.d. lang, and others.
