1 - DEATH

CHAPTER 1

DEATH

1. - Many years ago, when may father died, we held a wake over him, I and some other people. These people were with me, when I fell asleep for a moment and suddenly saw my father coming into the room where we were holding the wake. He had his hands in the pockets of his trousers and asked me about who had died, who was the one who was lying there, and I thought that this was my father, who had just died and was talking to me.

Could you tell me what caused this phenomenon?

A.- We need to understand the fact that never in life do people take care to awaken their consciousness. Really, all the people in the conglomeration of society have their consciousness deeply asleep. Obviously, after death, the intellectual animal mistakenly called man continue with their dreamy life, and if any deceased person were to be told that he is dead, it is obvious that he would not believe it.

It is ostensible that those who are deceased always think that they are alive, because they do not find anything strange when they die. They always see the same sun, the same clouds, the same birds rehearsing their flights from the thick willows in the garden.

After their great passage, those whom we call dead wander the streets of the town, or wander about the different areas of the suburb where they died. Normally they continue with their daily work, and they sit at table in their homes, and they even afford to lie in their beds. They would never think they have moved into the Great Beyond. They feel themselves living here and now.

In such circumstances, when they see their bodies in a coffin, they assume that it is somebody else, and not even remotely suspect that it is actually their own vehicle which is deceased. This is the harsh reality of facts. For this reason, you should not be surprised at all if you had that intimate experience.

2. - What causes the fear my youngest sister used to feel when she went into the room where a wake was held over my grandfather?

A.- Such fear has a lot of ancestor. Usually it is transmitted from parents to children; there is nobody in life who has not felt it; the same happens when we go into a dark cavern, or when we find ourselves in the presence of a real ghost. The causa causarum of all this lies in the subjective psyche, or should we better say, in the asleep consciousness.

When one awakens consciousness, it is ostensible that such fears radically disappear.

3. - Why children can see the disembodied whilst adults cannot? My youngest son was able to see my father, who had just disincarnated, and talk to him.

A.- In the name of truth we must be clear and emphasise certain ideas. It is not superfluous to say that all children are clairvoyant. We have been told that before their fontanelle front, i.e. their skull, becomes closed, human babies have the power to see the supra-sensory, that which does not belong to the physical world, that which is invisible to adults.

If human beings were to re-conquer their innocence in their minds and in their hearts, it is unquestionable that they would regain Divine Clairvoyance, the power to see the occult, of seeing the mysterious, the unknown.

4. - When we die, are we in danger of getting lost? Or else, is there somebody waiting for us?

A.- What is all this about getting lost, my dear lady? What is all this about getting lost, gentlemen? When are you going to finish being afraid? Can one get lost at home? I have already spoken clearly, and clearly enough, I have already said that during the first days we continue living in the same house where we died, and about this there are numerous testimonies.

When we die, we meet up with those dear deceased people who went ahead, that is to say, our relatives and friends.

5. - Are we able to recognise those relatives and friends whom we meet when we disincarnate?

A.- You can recognise your deceased mother, your father, your friends, and relatives. Surely you do not suppose one can fail to recognize his loved ones?

Your question is rather strange. It is obvious that no son could fail to recognize her who gave him birth. It is ostensible that we all have the capacity to recognize what we have known.

6. - Do we suffer loneliness when we die?

A.- Each person is different. The person who is selfish, a misanthrope, somebody who does not love anybody, obviously will have to endure bitter loneliness. In the region of the dead, the painful after-death state of loneliness of such a person is pathetic, clear and defined.

7. - According to that which people call Destiny, is it true that the day and the hour when we have to die is already determined?

A.- With great pleasure I am going to answer the distinguished gentleman’s question. Sir, when you travel, you no doubt take a certain amount of money with you for the different means of transport. Obviously, you need to know how to spend your money, because if you waste it your journey will have to be cut short.

I would like you to understand that the Angels of Destiny put into our three Brains a determined capital of life stocks when we are born. Clearly, if we waste these, if we finish with such a fortune, or journey on the road of existence will soon be over. However, if we save those securities, our journey will be extended, and we will live to old age.

8. - I am surprised by what you have just said about "three brains". I have always heard that we have one brain. Could you tell me what are the other two?

A.- So you are surprised about the three Brains..? Please, understand this: we have an intellectual brain inside the skull; on the upper part of the spinal column we have the motor brain, the principal centre for movement; on the solar plexus and the other sympathetic centres is the brain of emotions. Is this now understood?

9. - Why are afraid when thinking of death, and why are we attached to life?

A.- The desire to live is very big. All human beings want to live. They are attached to sensory life. Obviously, desire of material existence, adherence and attachment to it, has us fascinated. Under such circumstances, in no way do we want to die; we are afraid of dying; we do not want to stop existing. If, through understanding, people were able to lose their desire for material life, then the fear of death would disappear. One gets to lose such fear when one understands how illusory existence is, when one sees that nothing in this world is permanent. Ideas, things, and people, they all pass.

10. - When people disincarnate, what becomes of their souls? Where do they go to incarnate again?

A.- We need to speak clearly and understand. People have their minds in dogmas. There is intellectual deterioration. People no more are able of opening themselves to the new, of seeing what is natural; they always think in what is artificial and regard it as the universal yardstick.

In other times, the human senses had not yet degenerated. In those archaic times of our planet, people were able to see the deceased, hear them, feel them, and so on.

In Lemuria, for instance, when somebody was going to disincarnate, this person would dig his own grave and lie down in it with his head pointing towards the East; he would happily say farewell to his relatives, and they would be smiling merrily. Whoever passed into the Great Beyond did not become invisible for his relatives and indeed could keep on living pleasantly with his loved ones. The air appeared transparent; in the atmosphere one could see clearly the spirits, the souls, the innocent creatures of Nature.

But we know that below those areas belonging to the three-dimensional, to the physical, there exist in the atmosphere metaphysical regions, in the way of worlds or spaces, where the souls of the dead live before taking again a new body.

11. - Why every time I dream of my dead relatives, am I chatting with them, and they state that they have not died and that they are in perfect health?

A.- Dear Sir, I am delighted with your question, which I am going to answer with pleasure. First of all, I would like you to understand what the process of sleep is. It is unquestionable that sleep is a small death, as the common saying goes. During the hours when the body is lying asleep on the bed, the soul wanders out of it, goes to different places, gets in touch with those who have died, and even affords the luxury of conversing with them.

Of course the dead never believe they are dead, because in life they never took care to awaken consciousness. They always think they are alive. You will now understand the reason why the souls of your loved ones make such assertions to you.

12. - Why spiritualists are particularly fond of invoking or calling the dead?

A.- Well, that is what they learned from their masters, Allan Kardec, Leon Denis, and many others. What is serious is that these authors did not investigate in depth the marrow bone of this question.

First and foremost, my dear Sir, I would like you to know that all human beings have within themselves an "I", an Ego, the me-myself, the oneself.

Please, do not think that this "I" is the best. Do study the "Book of the Dead" of the ancient Egyptians, and you will comprehend what I am telling you.

Have you read Goethe’s "Faust"? Ah! If you knew what Mephistopheles is like, you would agree with me. The fact that Mephistopheles, the Ego, the "I", the me-myself, has a sinister character is unquestionable.

Mephistopheles, Ahriman, the "I" of the deceased person, is what goes into a spiritualist medium’s body. It is indubitable that such "I" personifies all our psychological defects, all our errors.

The Being of the deceased person never goes to a spiritualist séance. Please, Sir, distinguish between the Being and the "I": what attends such séances is Satan, the me-myself. I would like you to understand what the Law of Action and Consequence is like: the people who let their bodies, their matter, to the "I"s of the dead, to Mephistopheles, to Satan, will in their future birth have to suffer a lot because of epilepsy.

13. - Could you tell me what is the Being?

A.- The Being is the Being, and the raison d’être of the Being is the very Being. The Being is the Divine, the immortal Spark of every human being, without beginning or end, terribly divine.

Human beings do not yet have this immortal Spark in their bodies, but if we sanctify ourselves and eliminate the sinning "I", the Mephistopheles, clearly then, the Spark will be able to incarnate in our bodies. I now invite you to understand what the Being is.

14. - After death, does one remember the whole life which has just passed?

A.- Dear young lady, Madam, you need to know that every deceased person re-lives in retrospect his whole life which has just passed.

A person who has disincarnated will begin by re-living those moments which preceded his death. For this reason, as we said before, he will during the first days live among his people, in his home, in his village, in his office, at his job, and then, continuing, he will live in all those places farther in the past. In each facet of his past existence, he will repeat the same dramas, the same words, the same scenes, and so on. The last segment of the retrospection corresponds to the processes of one’s infancy. Once the retrospection is completed, we have to go before the Courts of Divine Justice. The Angels of the Law will judge us for our actions, for our deeds.

Three pathways are possible for the disencarnate person: firstly, some holidays in the luminous regions of the infinite space before returning into a body; secondly, going into a womb immediately or after some time; thirdly, entering the hell worlds inside the interior of the planet on which we live.

15. - Is it possible that this retrospection may take place in life?

A.- Many people who have been close to drowning have seen their life pass in a retrospective way. The same thing has happened to those people who, for this or that reason, have been near death.

16. - One day, as I was making some arrangements about graves and crypts to bury some relatives, speaking with the administrator of the cemetery, suddenly I fell silent and with my eyes popping out of my head for quite a while. He continued talking, but when he realised I was not paying attention to him, he asked me if I was all right. By speaking to me in his loud voice he brought me out of my absorption, and then I told him what had happened to me. Actually I had stopped talking when I started to feel somebody’s presence. When I turned round I saw my recently disincarnate mother-in-law next to me, for whom I was making cemetery arrangements. She smiled to me kindly and made a gesture inviting me to come in. As I could not move, she simply said bye-bye and went out of my sight. When I finished my narration the man had goose pimples and his hair was standing on end. Very nervously he was telling me that in all those years in the cemetery he had never felt like that. Could you tell me the reason for this phenomenon?

A.- My dear Sir, it will be my great pleasure to answer your question. In no way should you be surprised at a supra-sensory vision. In the times of Lemuria, as I said, everybody was able to see the dead in the atmosphere. It is a pity that nowadays people should be surprised at this kind of visions.

That a deceased person should become visible now and then in the atmosphere is nothing strange, and you can vouch for this. Obviously, you were able to verify this through direct perception. The cemetery administrator did not get that far, but he was able to have certain psychic sensitiveness, enough for his hair to stand on end and him to get goose pimples.

17. - Every time I dream of my mother’s mother and see her sad, she indicates something to me which I cannot remember when I wake up, but through the years, I have realised that eight days after having dreamt of her, someone in my family will become seriously ill. Could you tell me the reason why?

A.- Dear young lady, I have many times said in my lectures, already, that during the common, ordinary, normal sleep, the souls of the living escape out of the body which is sleeping in bed, and then they contact the souls of the dead.

The fact of your meeting with your granny is something normal in the Unknown Dimension. She visits you at times of anxiety, or when somebody in your family is going to fall ill. As you can see, the dead are very close to us!
