Review
I'm a loser....
I don't deserve to live...
There is no need for your existance.
What does Minako-chan have to say on the new series? Well here we goooo...
I'll tell all!
Why the changes?
First off there was the legal disputes on character designs with the wonderful manga-ka Kyoko Tsuchiya.

But despite that, unlike the rumors I read over the internet sites on Gluhen I searched to the ends of the world to find, I found that many were untrue. I had read that the reason for Yohji cutting off his beautiful locks was because he was finally getting over the death of his beloved Asuka. This is a cultural tidbit from Japan; when people are attempting at making a new life themselves, they tend to cut their hair away to rid themselves of the past. A very valid statement, but I don't believe it to be true. In the ending of Gluhen, Stone Roses, at the end they reveal a photograph of our four favorite florists in their "traditional" florist garb. (Aya in the orange sweater, Ken and his black and red shirt) The pic is below. You can see that in this old picture, Yohji's hair is still cut as it is in Gluhen implying that he always had it that way.
Awww old Weiss
Alright hooray for all that, what about the goodness of Gluhen itself?

As an avid fan of all that is Weiss, I at first hated the new look of my favorite members. Where was Aya's eartails? Why is Omi Persia? Gah dangit!

But as the series went on, all that was lacking from the first TV series had made its way into Gluhen. The art is rather supurb, almost mocking itself and the old crappiness that is Weiss.
Meow
Those who have complained that Weiss has lacked plot are suddenly confounded with a major plotline that never really existed before. (Although the OAVs were so bittersweet.. ah I love those) Brainwashing, a evil school, and playing God, ahh its all so wonderful!

As for action, those who loved to see Aya scream his "SHI-NE" and lots of slicing, dicing, choking and dart throwing can be extremely disappointed. I do recall that an actual real battle didn't take place until episode 3, when Aya and Kyo were surrounded by enemies.
ALRIGHT ALREADY! DO YOU LIKE IT!?

Actually, I do. But I love anything and everything Weiss. I got used to the designs, and was shocked (and still AM in shock) at the ending. Although, honestly I don't know any other way they COULD have ended it. The TV series ended with disaster, and then hope. The OAVs looked to end with disaster, then hope! Gluhen just.... ended. Severing any hope that may remain.

I reccomend anyone that calls themself a Weiss fan to buy it or AT LEAST watch it. I... loved it.
Ah I've seen this somewhere before....
