The Q.A.S. Blackhawk was a ship of the Pelai, an interstellar alliance who have terrorized the worlds of H'kartha and Abeir-Toril for years. The chief of these pirates on H'kartha was the Hegemon Gharash, and the Blackhawk was the pride of the Hegemon's fleet. It had 36 bombards, a marine force of 100 Atyri (githyanki), and a 8 high level heroes. Some 75 slaves were on board for use as fuel and sailing crew. The ship was commanded by Captain Teragol, a martinet who while he had the appearance of being human, there was something inhuman about him. The ship was sent on an important mission by the Hegemon Gharash, to investigate the world of Tellus, that had merged with the world of H'kartha and now lay beyond the Endless Sea, past the Sunset Isles and then into the Sea of Mists until the ship reached The Barrier , a prismatic wall from the sea to the sky that marked the juncture of H'kartha and Tellus. The passing through The Barrier was a tumultuous affair, like riding out a terrible storm at sea. The ship however passed through intact and went on flying for ten days, when spotting a group of islands and went to investigate. Suddenly a great pillar of rock topped with a strange citadel of blue glass rose from the sea. A terrible energy bolt was fired from the top of the high tower of this citadel, hitting the Blackhawk and sending the ship spiralling downward, crashlanding near a small atoll. The pillar of land with the strange anti-spelljammer sentinel then sank once again beneath the waves. The ship, broken in two, was ruined and sinking fast, and nearly all aboard were killed. The survivors scrambled to ashore on to the atoll. Then building a raft out of the debris, the survivors piled on with whatever they could salvage, and set sail for what looks like some more promising prospects of land on the horizon. Among the equipment salvaged was the captain's locker containing some maps and some fragments of the Pelai survey of Tellus, some five thousand years ago. A few days later the ragtag group of survivers arrived hungry and parched at what seemed to be some substantial bit of land . They built a camp on the shore. Climbing the cliffs beyond the shore line, they reached a great plain. They spot a strange humanoid in savage attire, unlike any creature they have ever seen before. Oh Brave new world, that has such creatures in it........
