081. How?

The last thing I remembered clearly was climbing the tree.

Now, my head, in fact my whole body was aching.

I realised I was lying in bed and the room was dark.

But I remembered getting up, Dad telling me that my Grandparent's were coming for a visit...I remembered going to Lou's and Biff...

Had it all been a dream brought on by illness, because I sure felt awful, so bad in fact I gave a small groan.

"There, there now," a soft voice soothed. "Just relax."

I felt a cold compress on my forehead, which sure made things a bit clearer, but at the same time more confusing.

I didn't recognise the voice and the room I was in didn't seem right...

"You've been asleep for almost nine hours now."

I tried to concentrate, but that voice definitely wasn't my stepmother's or stepsister's or Aunt Beth's. Who was in my house then?

"Wh-who?" I croaked, my throat dry.

"It's all right," I felt a hand pat my shoulder. "You're safe and sound here."

"Wh-where?"

A light flicked on, and as soon as it did I realised why everything was so strange.

This wasn't my room at all!

I struggled to get up, how had I got here, where was here -?!

"Hey, slow down," the voice cautioned, putting a hand on my shoulder to push me back down. I didn't resist, my head had immediately started to spin. "You've got a big bruise on your head."

Finally my eyes focused on whoever it was beside me.

Oh my God.

Sitting on a bed across from me was the most beautiful girl in Hill Valley, probably in all of California, or even the world.

Lorraine Baines!

How had I...?

"Just get up slowly," she told me, smiling, her brown eyes warm. "If you pass out again, my mother will really flip."

"Uh...O-okay..." I wasn't sure if I was stuttering because of the ache in my head or because Lorraine, beautiful Lorraine was talking to me!

Finally, the dizziness passed and very slowly started to get up, before realising...

"Wh-what happened to my pants?" I gasped, throwing the covers back around me.

Lorraine ducked her head. "Over there-" she pointed. "On my Hope Chest."

I looked over and wondered how exactly I was supposed to get them?

"My mother said you're supposed to loosen tight clothing," Lorraine told me.

"Uh-huh..."
"So..." she tilted her head at me. "What's your name? You look so familiar..."

A blush rose in my cheeks, I hoped she had never looked out of her window and seen...!

"From school," she added.

"I'm...uh...I'm George...George McFly," I finally managed.

"George," Lorraine repeated my name, and the way she said it made my head start spinning again.

I suddenly found myself lying back down and Lorraine looked over at me. "You better be careful, Dad hit you pretty hard."

"Right..." I wondered if he'd seen....

"You'll be OK," she told me reassuringly and actually took my hand. "I'll look after you."

That sounded...well...I think I almost fainted again, but I managed a small smile. "Th-thanks."

"Oh, you're so sweet." She cooed and started stroking the back of my hand.

I closed my eyes, just to check...maybe this was the dream...

But when I opened them again, she was still there...

"Poor George," Lorraine reached out and stroked my hair. This was nice...I wish I could stay here forever.

And then Lorraine asked. "How did you end up in the middle of the street?"
