The McFly family stared as their youngest member, Marty, dressed as a cowboy no less peeled out of the driveway and down the street.
"I swear you guys dropped him on his head when he was a baby," Linda remarked to her parents, shaking her head.
"Linda." Lorraine said warningly.
"Hey, I agree," Dave spoke up, with a wink at his sister.
"David!"
"Uh, Mr. McFly," a small voice said.
The McFlys turned it was Biff, holding his bucket of car cleaners. "Uh, I guess I've finished?"
"Sure, Biff," George took out his wallet. "20, right?"
"Uh...well...25, they upped the price of tyre cleaner," Biff averted his eyes.
Dave and Linda raised their eyebrows at each other, but their father handed the money to Biff.
Soon the family were in the silver BMW heading for brunch.
"I had the weirdest dream last night," George spoke up. Linda and Dave looked at each other, their father was always having crazy dreams, probably came from all the Sci-Fi writing.
"Oh, what was it about, dear?" Lorraine asked, interested as always.
George shook his head. "Crazy stuff! The entire town was a mess, you could hardly breathe there was so much smog and there were bikers everywhere."
Linda looked interested. "Bikers, huh?"
"You know, Lin, Rebel Without a Cause has given you the wrong idea." David nudged her.
"And the Town Square, the courthouse was gone and there was this skyscraper there instead. I don't remember what it was for, but nothing good. There were people with guns all over the place."
"Gee, Dad, whatever you read before going to sleep you should skip," Linda advised.
"That's odd..." Lorraine remarked, "it sounds...well, a bit like the dream I had."
"Oh, no way, Mom," Linda shook her head.
"No, really. I was in Hill Valley, but it certainly wasn't like it is now. I was in an enormous building...with...well, Biff was there."
Linda made a face. "Ugh, that is a nightmare!"
"Yes, you two were in it as well."
"Us? Did we do anything crazy, Mom?"
"I can't remember, but you were in terrible trouble...both of you."
Linda was surprised at how serious her mother sounded and gave Dave a look.
"Hey, we're fine, Mom," Dave spoke up, "it was just a dream, right?"
Lorraine nodded. "I do remember feeling horrible, as if that was the end of the line and nothing could fix it."
"Good thing it was just a dream then," Linda added.
George put his arm around his wife. "There's no need to worry, everything's normal today."
"Except Marty," Dave snickered.
"Actually, if Marty was acting normal, that would be a worry," Linda added.
"You two," Lorraine said, warningly.
"Come on, Mom, you know it's true," Dave gave his most sincere grin.
"We only tease 'cause we love him," Linda added.
"Oh...well...all right," Lorraine backed down.
"See, Lor, everything's normal," George repeated, with a grin.
"Hmpf, I guess I wouldn't have it any other way." Lorraine said dryly, but she smiled.
