"... give me a home, where the buffalo still roam ... " Probably no other animal signifies the old west more than the American Bison.  Today, the largest herd of Buffalo can be found in our very own state of South Dakota at Custer State Park.  To see these incredible animals up close and personal is an amazing experience that should be experienced by every American.  Don't be satisifed with just watching the movie "Dances With Wolves", come to the Dakotas and experience the real animals!  Before the 1880's, the Bison was a critical element in the lives of the Lakota and Sioux Indian tribes of the great plains.  Uncle Gene has won awards for this wooden depiction of the animal icon of the old west.
