Monday 1st May 2000
Philip gives Belle a sundae as a peace offering. He's sorry for giving her a
hard time about Chloe. Philip just can't understand what Belle sees in that
girl. After all, Philip heard that she can cast spells. Belle is totally enraged
by now and pours the sundae over Philip's head. Later, Shawn and Belle have an
argument of their own...
Vivian is upset when Victor tells her he's sending Kate to the conference in his
place. Vivian may be angry, but she isn't about to throw in the towel just yet.
She's still determined to win back Victor. Later, Vivian runs into Nicholas and
has a proposition for him...she'd like him to go to the conference in her place.
That way Nicholas and Kate can spend the weekend together...
Victor tells Kate about his dilemma. He can't make it up to the conference and
would like her to go in his place. Kate is flattered until Victor drops the bomb
that Vivian will also be attending. Kate says there's no way she's going to
spend the weekend with that wench Vivian, but Victor persists. Will Kate give
in?
As Greta and Eric sit on swings at the park, Greta tears up as she reminisces
about the times her mother would take her to the park... Princess Gina wasn't
totally heartless. Eric comforts Greta and tells her that time is the only thing
that can make it better. And he's always going to be there for her...
John tells Marlena that everything is set for them to leave for France. He's
convinced that once they find Hope, they'll have what they need to get rid of
Stefano once and for all. But little do they know what Rolf and Bart have
planned for them...
Bart and Rolf, disguised as airplane mechanics, manage to manipulate their way
onto John's plane where they proceed to cut wires, install switches etc. This is
all part of Rolf's master plan to find out if John has his memories back and to
take over Stefano's empire...

Nicole is horrified when she learns that Eric and Greta are going to France
together. Nicole, with her own agenda, tells Greta that she and Eric will have a
wonderful time. After all, Paris is the city for lovers. An upset Greta tells
Nicole that they're going to France to bury her mother...besides, she has no
intention of making love until she's married. With that, Greta storms off
leaving Nicole pleased...
Nancy presents Chloe with a bright new spring wardrobe to celebrate their two
month anniversary of being reunited. Chloe, however, is less than thrilled and
says she's going to return the clothes. This doesn't sit well with Nancy who
raises her voice and tells the girl she's sick and tired of her bad attitude!
With that, Nancy storms off. Marlena and Craig are perplexed when they see this
from afar. Marlena goes to Nancy. She truly wants to help, but before she can do
so, Marlena needs to know everything. Meanwhile, Craig confronts Chloe and
really starts to push her buttons...
Abe is horrified when he sees the newspaper with the headline, "police
commander Abe carver charged with false arrest and harassment." After he
reads the article, he tells Roman that it's a bunch of bull. Abe did not harass
Brandon walker, and the guy is not the saint that the newspaper makes him out to
be. Meanwhile, Lexie lashes out at Brandon after she sees the article, but he
manages to convince her that he had nothing to do with it...
An argument ensues between Kate and Victor when he finds out that Kate gave
their son a thousand dollars. Kate tries to explain, saying that it was money
for new skis. Victor doesn't care. He wants Philip to learn responsibility and
it seems as though Kate couldn't care less!
Vivian eventually convinces Nicholas to go up to the seminar at Green Mountain
Lodge to surprise Kate. But little does Nicholas know, Vivian has plans of
getting Victor up to the lodge to catch Nicholas and Kate in action...

Marlena surprises Belle by inviting her to go along to Paris. Belle squeals with
joy until she finds out that Shawn will also be there. Mimi is totally jealous
of her friend, but Marlena springs another surprise on the girls...Mimi can join
them on their European trip, too!
Eric, Greta, Bo, Shawn, Roman, Lili, Alice, Doug, and Julie all arrive at the
airport in anticipation of their flight to Paris. But unbeknownst to them, Rolf
and Bart are up to no good. Rolf hands Bart a briefcase and says it's time to
plant the final surprise...
It's a new day, but Stefano and Hope's nightmare continues. Hope starts to lose
her optimism and thinks it's only a matter of time until they perish. After all,
Kurt is presumably dead and the food supply is almost gone. Stefano encourages
her to keep positive. He'll do everything he can to protect her and the baby.
Hope is grateful, but still blames Stefano for this entire mess. Meanwhile, Kurt
manages to crawl back inside the castle, but upon doing so, he collapses back
into unconsciousness...br>
Thursday 4th May 2000
As Kate is swimming off stress in the Green Mountain Lodge pool, she gets quite
a shock when Nicholas shows up. He tells her that he's taking Vivian's place at
the seminar. Later, Nicholas strips out of his Speedo, and Kate, trying to
resist her feelings for the guy, hits the showers. Persistent Nicholas, however,
follows Kate into the locker room and locks the door behind...
Vivian and Victor hit Tuscany for a celebratory lunch...Victor is finally able
to walk! Vivian thinks this would be the perfect surprise for Kate. With her own
agenda, Vivian suggests they head up to the lodge and show Kate that he can
walk...
Abe is outraged when the police commissioner tells him he's being relieved of
his commander duties pending the outcome of the lawsuit. Lexie can't believe
this is happening. The commissioner is sorry, but he had no choice. Later, Lexie
finds Brandon and demands that he drop the lawsuit. Meanwhile, Roman visits Abe
with news that he's taking over while Abe's on leave...
John, Marlena, Bo, Shawn, Belle, Mimi, Doug, Julie, Eric, Greta, Lili, and Alice
all board the plane for Europe. Bart and Rolf keep close watch via television
monitor. They've got big plans for the unfortunate passengers on board. Later,
the plane is finally airborne, but it looks like there's trouble in store for
the good people of Salem...
Friday 5th May 2000
Roman stops by to see Abe. He hopes that the current situation isn't going to
affect their friendship. Abe doesn't blame Roman. The only one to blame here is
Brandon. And Abe is beginning to feel like he was set up. Roman tells Abe not to
worry about it. Things will work out...
Larry is furious with Brandon and thinks he's been using him. Brandon denies
this, but Larry wants the lowdown on what's going on between Brandon and Abe.
Brandon embellishes his story and says that Abe ruined his childhood. In fact,
Abe was the one responsible for putting his dad in jail so many years ago.
Brandon insists he's only trying to defend himself and his family, and he thinks
Larry needs to take some action, too. He strongly encourages Larry to go through
with the lawsuit...
Vivian finally convinces Victor to go with her up to the lodge. She thinks
tonight would be the perfect opportunity for Victor to show Kate that he can
walk. As they drive up to the lodge, Victor confides in Vivian and tells her
that he's impotent. Vivian is rocked to the core. Meanwhile, Nicholas puts the
moves on Kate and it looks like they're going to make love. But who knows what
will happen when Vivian and Victor arrive at the lodge...
The plane ride seems to be going smoothly until John finds the pilots
unconscious in the cockpit. John keeps this information to himself, asking only
Bo for some assistance. Shades of John's mercenary self shine through as he
starts to remember about the time he learned how to fly a plane. John radios the
Coast Control, so he thinks, but in reality it's Rolf. John explains the
situation and says he's going to need help landing the plane. At that point,
Rolf signals to Bart who presses a button on the remote device. The plane
suddenly starts to lose altitude...
Monday 8th May 2000
Vivian makes a huge self-sacrificing decision while up at the lodge. Instead of
exposing Nicholas and Kate's little fling, she decides to let them be together.
Vivian has come to realize that she will never get Victor back, so she
selflessly lets Kate and Victor be happy together. When Vivian gets a moment
alone with Victor, she tells him that she's going to take some time off to think
about her future and where she wants to be. So, for now, it's goodbye. A tearful
Vivian and Victor share a warm hug, perhaps their very last ever. Meanwhile,
Kate thanks Nicholas for not telling Victor the truth. Nicholas says he still
loves Kate, but he isn't going to push it. He'll wait for her, and he's certain
that it won't be long until she realizes he is the man she truly wants...
Vivian and Nicholas return to Salem, and Vivian gets the shock of her life...
Ivan has won the $40 million lottery! After an episode chock full of highlights
of Vivian and Ian's outlandish escapades, Ivan asks his Madame to join him on a
private cruise around the world. Vivian is speechless. This is exactly what she
needs right now. And with that, the two give a tearful goodbye to Celeste and
Nicholas. After all these years... all these adventures, it's finally time for
Vivian to say bon voyage to Salem...

Sami and Brandon hook up at dot.com as she waits for Austin to arrive. The two
of them are very flirtatious, and Brandon even goes so far as to ask Sami out.
She tells Brandon she's already got a boyfriend in Austin. But we get the
feeling Brandon would like to be Sami's one and only....
Hope is thrilled when she feels her baby kick for the first time. She had been
worried, but this proves that the baby is still alive. Stefano also breathes a
sigh of relief. Meanwhile, Kurt finally makes his way up the stairs to the
turret...
The passengers have settled in for the long flight to Europe, unaware of the
impending danger. As the day progresses, John's mercenary self starts to take
over which causes Bo to worry; Marlene discovers the truth about the unconscious
pilots; Rolf and Bart are pleased as they see that John is remembering
how to handle a difficult situation, but who knows what will happen when John
discovers the bomb on board...
Wednesday 10th May 2000
Brandon stops by to see his mother, who is deeply concerned about the
Brandon-Abe situation. Fay thinks Brandon should tell Abe about the past they
share, but Brandon adamantly refuses. He's going to take care of the situation
in his own way. And he doesn't want his mom to get involved...
Abe and Lexie's night out turns into a disaster. When they arrive at Lady Vi's,
Lexie is in the hot seat when she is forced to tell Abe that she ran into
Brandon here a few days ago. Before they really get into it, Sami and Austin
show up. Lexie, thankful for the distraction, invites the two to join them for
dinner. But when Sami sits down, the first thing she mentions is Brandon. She
tells them she just spoke with the guy and he's genuinely sorry about this whole
mess. Abe's anger boils over. He can't believe everyone is taking Brandon's
side! And with that, he storms off...
John's memory as a young mercenary leads him to figure out the riddle... there's
a bomb on the plane! As John is telling Bo, Shawn overhears and insists on
helping. With Bo and Shawn in the pilots' seats, John starts the search for the
bomb. But then it hits him. He figures out that the bomb is hidden inside
Princess Gina's casket. As all of this is going on, Lili stumbles across the
unconscious bodies of the pilots. She lets out a bloodcurdling scream and tells
the others that the pilots are dead, and they soon will be, too...

Inside the turret, Stefano and hope dine on what could be their very last meal.
Meanwhile, Kurt, who has been secretly listening at the door, is concerned about
Hope's baby. He couldn't care less about Stefano, though. Kurt sneaks into the
turret with a loaded gun and aims it at Stefano...
Unfortunately it doesn't look like luck is in the cards for the good people of
Salem today. Everyone reacts in horror when mercenary-like John announces
there's a bomb on the plane. John enlists in Shawn and Eric's help to disable
the bomb, which is inside Princess Gina's coffin. Bo and Doug try to keep things
under control inside the cockpit, and Marlene does her best to relax those in
the main cabin. But when an angry Rolf decides to take the life of his hired
steward, even more hell breaks loose. The steward, as well as the chef, are both
sucked out into space when Rolf presses a button which opens one of the airplane
doors. Marlene and Greta nearly lose their lives as a result of this horrific
ordeal. Meanwhile, John and the guys try to get to the bomb, but it's
booby-trapped. Will they be able to get rid of it before it explodes? Only time
can tell...
Hope screams out when she sees Kurt holding the gun on a sleeping Stefano. The
gun blasts, but Stefano has managed to dodge the bullet. Stefano and Kurt
struggle for the gun, but Stefano eventually prevails. Hope tries to run for her
life, but Kurt grabs her and uses her as a human shield. Kurt knows Stefano
would never shoot Hope. Stefano takes aim and hits Kurt in the shoulder.
Meantime, Hope makes a run for it. Will she escape?
Nicholas stops by the Kiriakis estate to speak with Kate about Vivian, but Kate
refuses to discuss this now. Later, Nicholas runs into Victor and tells him that
Vivian left town indefinitely. And Vivian left Nicholas in charge of her 49% of
Titan. Victor is shocked and tells Nicholas there's no way he'll take over for
Vivian. Meanwhile, Kate and Lucas have a heart to heart. He knows she's hurting,
but he wants to know why. Will Kate reveal the truth?
The fatalistic flight continues for the good people of Salem. The bomb has
exploded, but the plane is still somewhat intact. John looks out the window to
complete darkness and has no idea where they are. According to their maps, they
should have hit daylight by now. Rolf chuckles as he watches this via monitor.
He tampered with the compass, and john's plane has been travelling in the wrong
direction ever since the start. Bart is worried for the passengers on board, but
Rolf feels no remorse. it's all in john's hands now. Later, the pilot awakens
from consciousness and helps john in the cockpit. But it doesn't seem as though
luck is in the cards for our passengers. The plane has run out of fuel and is
making a nosedive toward the ocean...

15th May 2000
There's chaos at the kiriakis estate this morning. Victor is upset because of
the bad publicity surrounding Brandon and his suit against Abe carver. Victor
warns the boy that if he doesn't clean up his act, he'll kick Brandon out.
Meanwhile, Nicole gets an unwelcome surprise when she finds her mother loitering
outside the mansion. Fay insists she just wants to speak with Brandon, but
Nicole refuses to let her inside. Later, Nicole is humiliated when Victor comes
face to face with her mother...
Chloe is severely offended when she sees Nancy sporting a new look... a look
that resembles Chloe to a "t". Nancy admits she feels ridiculous
dressed in this goth attire, but she's only doing it to try to connect with
Chloe. Chloe sees this as an incredible insult and storms off. She's never going
to forgive Nancy for this one...
Kurt calls his doctor friend to examine Hope. She's in bad shape and worried
about the baby. When the doctor arrives, Hope tries to get his attention. This
could be her only way of escape. But Kurt catches wind of this and subtly
reminds Hope that he'll kill Stefano if she talks...
We pickup the horror of the plane crash... miraculously, all of the passengers
seemed to have survived with the exception of Bo, who is nowhere to be found.
John finds a torn piece of Bo's life jacket and then dives into the water.
Suddenly he spots Bo's lifeless body and pulls it to the plane. Marlena
administers CPR, and Bo comes back to life. The pilot reveals news that there's
an island nearby. If they wait long enough, he's sure the tide will carry them
in. But when the plane lurches, our passengers realize they've got to get out of
there ASAP...
Tuesday 16th May 2000
Kate is a nervous wreck, worried that Vivian is going to expose her
near-lovemaking encounter with Nicholas. But Nicholas tells her that Vivian has
left town indefinitely. Kate breathes a sigh of relief until Nicholas informs
her that Vivian left him in charge of her 49% of Titan. That means Nicholas,
Kate, and Victor will be working very closely. Later, Nicholas drops the bomb
and tells Kate he knows Victor is impotent...
Brandon meets with his lawyer who fills him in on the upcoming hearing with Abe,
the commissioner, and the arbitrator. Benny is sure Brandon will come out
Victorious. Brandon says he couldn't care less about the money. All he wants is
a public apology from Abe. He wants everyone to see Carver crash and burn.
Later, Abe and Lexie really have it out... much to Brandon's delight...
The plane crash survivors all turn up on a deserted tropical island. John, in
mercenary mode, instructs the guys to build a fire so they can send out a signal
for help; Bo questions John about his harsh, drill sergeant behavior and John
reveals that he's been slipping back into his old self; Eric rescues Greta from
the strong undertow; Alice suggests they have a memorial service for Princess
Gina; and Mimi is in heaven now that she is trapped on an island with Shawn.
Later, a rescue chopper sweeps in, but it can't land on such a small area.
They'll have to drop a rope and rescue only one person for the time being. Who
will it be?
The French doctor checks Hope out and tells her that her pain and the bleeding
may be connected to a pulled muscle. But he'd like to take her to an
obstetrician. Kurt, playing the role of her boyfriend to the hilt, speaks up and
says that won't be necessary. and he manages to convince the doctor to keep Hope
right there at the castle. The doctor packs up to leave, taking Hope's chances
of escape with him. But then Hope gets a strong vibe and prays that Bo saves her
before their baby is born...
Wednesday 17th May 2000
Philip and Chloe really get into it at dot.com. It's one put down after another,
but Chloe really hits a chord when she rubs it in that Shawn and Belle are off
on a trip to Paris. Meanwhile, Lexie confides in Sami about everything that's
going on regarding Brandon and Abe. Lexie hates to say it, but she thinks her
husband is to blame. Later, Sami perks up when Lexie says that Brandon is
concerned about her relationship with Austin...
After having read the article about the lawsuit in the newspaper, Nicole, being
the proud sister she is, assumes Brandon is going after Abe's money. Brandon,
however, insists that isn't the case. He blames Abe for their parents' breakup,
and he's going to make sure the commander pays. Later, Nicole is concerned and
decides to intervene, for her brother's sake...
On the island, Shawn is there for Belle who can't seem to put the tragedy of the
plane crash out of her mind. Meanwhile, Greta finds a lagoon and sees it as a
sign that she never should have left the safety of the bayou. Eric, however,
promises he'll always be there to protect her. In counterpoint, Marlena
confronts John. She can't help wondering if the plane crisis has brought back
the mercenary in him. And if that is the case, she wants John to fight it. She
isn't going to lose him again...
Thursday 18th May 2000
Nancy tries to apologize to Chloe for her mistakes, but her attempts are ill
fated. Nancy says that all she wants is to be close with Chloe. There's no bond
like that of a mother and daughter. Chloe, cold, tells Nancy that it's too
little, too late. Once she turns 18, she's out of there...
Nicole stops by to see her mother in hopes of finding out the truth about what's
going on between Brandon and Abe. Nicole manages to get her mother drunk, but
will she open up about the past?
Brandon and Benny meet up to discuss their strategy for the hearing. Brandon
assures his lawyer that he'll be able to turn on the act and make everyone feel
sorry for him. And after he's through, then they've got their trump card...
Larry Morris. Benny says that by the time they're finished, Abe will be
destroyed. All of a sudden, Lexie moves up having overheard...
Abe and Lexie seem to have made up for the time being and celebrate with a hot
lovemaking session. Later, Abe gets called down to the station to meet with the
commissioner and the city attorney. They're afraid that if Abe can't control his
volatile feelings against Brandon, they aren't going to be able to defend him...
Eric and Greta spend the day together frolicking in the island lagoon. The heat
is rising, and they're really getting closer until a horrifying surprise
interrupts their moment of passion...
Friday 19th May 2000
Austin takes Sami up to Green Mountain lodge in hopes of getting her mind off of
the plane crash. The trip is a success as we see the growing closeness between
Sami and Austin...
The arbitration gets underway, but things aren't looking too good for Abe.
Brandon manages to stay calm throughout. He claims that the only reason he filed
the lawsuit was because he wanted to earn back the respect of his co-workers.
Abe's anger gets the best of him, which is definitely not a point in his
favor...
Greta screams out in horror when she sees her mother's dead body floating in the
lagoon. Eric tries to comfort her as Belle and Shawn rush in. Shawn's pent up
anger gets the best of him as he tells Greta that he can't believe Princess Gina
is still bringing misery to people's lives! Greta resents this and reminds Shawn
that he's talking about her mother. Eric tells Shawn he owes Greta an apology,
but Shawn refuses. He thinks Greta might be keeping secrets such as the
whereabouts of Hope...
Bo drops by the Harriman estate unexpectedly, and they're clearly not pleased to
see him. When he asks them for information about Princess Gina, the duke and
duchess adamantly refuse and call in their bodyguards to take care of Bo.
Meanwhile, Kurt tells Hope that when the time is right, he wants her to get him
a stack of money so he can take off and start a new life. For the first time in
days, Hope is filled will optimism. Kurt leaves the room, and we wonder just
what his true intentions are when he makes a mysterious phone call...

An inebriated Nicole gets an unpleasant surprise when her mother stops by to
chat. Sami and Austin return home and are caught off guard when they learn that
Fay is Nicole's mother. Nicole is clearly embarrassed, and she trashes her
mother in front of Austin and Sami. Austin pulls Nicole aside and tells her she
should respect her mother. Nicole, however, says there's no way she can respect
a woman she so despises. Her mother's life is a mess, and Nicole is not going to
let that happen to her! Meanwhile, Sami and Fay share an interesting
conversation...
The people of Salem make the most of their little island adventure. Lili gathers
everyone together and proposes a talent contest. This is a huge hit with
everyone, and it takes their mind off of things. When the contest winds down,
Shawn starts to play Tom and Alice's song in celebration of their anniversary.
When the song is finished, they hear the approaching sound of a boat motor.
Finally... they're going to be rescued!
Kurt is caught off guard when Bo stops by the castle in search of Hope. Kurt
adamantly refuses at first, but then decides to let the guy have a look around.
Kurt asks Bo to wait downstairs while he gets something, then he'll give the
grand tour. But when Kurt heads upstairs, Bo follows. Kurt stuffs a scarf in
Hope's mouth to keep her quiet and then forces her into the closet. Bo barrels
into the room, but will he find his beloved Hope?
Tuesday 23rd May 2000
Kate and Victor are on the verge of making love, but he pulls back. He
apologizes for his impotence and realizes it isn't fair to Kate. Victor knows
she must desire a man who can fulfill her needs. As Victor is saying this, all
Kate can think about is Nicholas. Meanwhile, Nicole and Lucas are aglow after
their lovemaking session. Lucas thinks it's only a matter of time until Nicole
gets pregnant. But when he goes off to shower, we see Nicole's secret stash of
birth control pills. In counterpoint, Austin and Sami come very close to making
love, but Austin wants their first time to be extra special. Later, sparks fly
when everyone meets up for breakfast, and Victor announces that he wants Lucas,
Nicole, Sami, Austin, and Brandon out of his house within 30 days...
Brandon privately meets with Benny and explains his plans for Abe Carver. Right
now Larry Morris is their ace in the pocket. And they'll get more mileage
charging a police commander with putting an innocent kid in a wheelchair, than
from charging an out of work cop. When the hearing resumes, Brandon shocks
everyone with his "heartfelt" speech. Brandon insists he doesn't want
to profit from this whole ordeal, and he doesn't want Abe to lose his job...
Hope is an emotional mess as she pleads with Kurt to let her go. She wants to
have her baby in Salem surrounded by Bo and her family. Kurt tells Hope that's
never going to happen. In fact, he has other plans for Hope and her baby...
Wednesday 24th May 2000
Kate is appalled. She can't believe Victor is going to throw Austin and Lucas
out. Victor explains that they're grown adults and need to take responsibility.
As long as they're living under the Kiriakis roof, they'll be dependent on Kate.
Kate realizes Victor is right and reluctantly agrees to let her boys go. Philip
comes in, having overheard, and tells his dad that if Austin and Lucas are
splitting, he's going to need some wheels. Victor, however, reminds the boy of
his gambling debt and says Philip's not getting anything until he pays up...
Lucas and Sami battle it out over who their son will live with once they move
out. Sami privately tells Austin she's afraid it's hopeless. She doesn't have
money, a job, or a place to live. And she can't stand the thought of being
isolated from her son. Sami realizes that if she wants Will, she's going to have
to play dirty. Will Austin help her? Meanwhile, Nicole, with her own agenda,
tells Lucas that if he takes Will from Sami, she's afraid the boy will hate
Lucas for life...
Belle and Mimi hit the town in true Paris fashion. They check out a hip cafe,
where they are hit on by a couple of American guys pretending to be French.
Meanwhile, Shawn, John, Eric, and Doug find Bo at his Paris hotel suite and fill
him in on the latest. Bo tells the guys he hasn't found any leads despite the
fact that he checked out the castle. John thinks they should go back and
investigate further, but Bo doesn't know if that's such a good idea...
Hope manages to get the gun from Kurt, but when she fires it at him, she finds
that it has only blanks. Later, Kurt leaves Hope to sleep, but that's the last
thing she wants to do. She looks out the window and cleverly devises a plan to
escape. Meanwhile, time is running out for Stefano, who is clearly on his
deathbed. But when he is visited by a vision of himself encouraging him to fight
for his life, we wonder if the phoenix will rise again...
Thursday 25th May 2000
Kate is thunderstruck when Nicholas suggests that he knows about Victor's
impotency. And Nicholas can't believe Kate is actually going to commit to a man
who can't make love to her. Later, Nicholas takes his frustrations out at the
gym, and Victor and Kate plot to get the five million dollars back from
Nicole...
Lucas is appalled when Nicole suggests that he let Sami have custody of will.
Otherwise, Nicole is afraid Will is going to resent Lucas for the rest of his
life. Lucas explodes and tells Nicole he is not going to give up his son!
Meanwhile, we see just how desperate Sami is to get custody of Will...
Greta and Eric head to the castle cemetery so Greta can organize her thoughts.
Even though her mother caused so much chaos in everyone's lives, she's glad she
got to spend some quality time with her before she died. Greta thinks that when
Princess Gina's body surfaced in the lagoon it was a sign... her mother's way of
telling them to return to the castle...
Hope nearly collapses with delight when she sees John and Bo coming for her
outside of the castle. This is it... perhaps her last chance at escape.
Meanwhile, Kurt is a nervous wreck when he finds Bo and John snooping around the
castle. Will they find Hope?

Because of the bet Philip lost with his friends, he is forced to ask if he can
borrow Chloe's notes from school. Philip drops by the Wesley house, but Chloe
drags him outside so they can speak in private. Nancy draws her own conclusions
and thinks that Philip has stopped by to ask Chloe out...
Abe and Lexie hit Lady Vi's to celebrate the outcome of the arbitration.
Ironically, Nicole and Brandon are there, too. Abe makes a selfless move when he
approaches Brandon and holds out his hand. Brandon feigns a smile as Abe shakes
his hand and says, "Peace, brother." Abe is thrown for a loop when
Brandon leans in close and whispers that they're not "brothers" and
they never will be...
Hope gets quite a relief when Stefano unties her gag. She's thrilled he's still
alive and tells him the good news that Bo and John are there. Later, Hope peers
out the window and sees two men digging a fresh grave. She and Stefano fear that
grave is for them...
Kurt is rocked to the core when Greta and the others tell him that Princess Gina
is dead. Greta fills him in on the details of the unusual story, and this really
gets to him. Kurt accidentally slips up, and John jumps on this. He accuses Kurt
of knowing more than he's volunteering. Kurt denies this, but John doesn't buy
it. He slips into mercenary mode and grabs Kurt by the neck. He'd better tell
the truth, or else...
Monday May 29th 2000
Upset that Chloe didn't give them her chem notes, Jason and Jan leave a headless
chicken on the Wesley doorstep. Craig and Nancy assume Philip is responsible.
Nancy marches over to the Kiriakis estate to have a word with Victor and Philip,
but when asked about the prank, Philip refuses to comment. Later on, Philip
comes clean to Victor and tells him that Jason and Jan were responsible for the
gag, and he didn't want to rat on them. Meanwhile, Chloe is furious with Nancy
and wishes she'd just stay out of her life...
Brandon tells Lexie that he and Abe made up, but she's suspicious. She says that
after Brandon and Abe shook hands at Lady Vi's, Abe seemed very upset, but he
wouldn't talk about it. Brandon hides the truth and says he has no idea why Abe
would be upset. Later, Lexie tells Brandon that Abe doesn't hate him, he's just
concerned about Brandon's temper. But she assures Brandon that she believes in
him...
Lucas and Maggie have a heart to heart on a break from their AA meeting. Lucas
tells her that Victor kicked them out of the house, and now Sami wants Will to
live with her. Lucas admits he's upset, but says he isn't going to keep Will
from his mommy. Maggie is proud of Lucas for really keeping his life on track,
and she advises him not to let Sami get to him...
Sami is totally thrown for a loop when Nicole says she thinks Sami deserves
custody of will. After all, she is the boy's mother. Nicole carries on about how
she is a firm believer in a mother raising the children. She knows it won't be
good for will if he's carted back and forth between Sami and Lucas every week.
Sami is suspicious of Nicole's intentions at first, but then Nicole tells her
that she and Lucas discussed it. And she thinks he just might come around.
Later, Nicole finds Austin working out in the Kiriakis garage and tries to
seduce him...
Sami corners Kate and asks her for a well paying job at titan. If Kate doesn't
cooperate, Sami says she may have to resort to the blackmail material. Kate
takes the upper hand and tells Sami that if she reveals the truth about her past
as a call girl, Kate is going to expose Sami as a blackmailer. And then there
will be no way for Sami to ever get custody of Will...

Chloe starts the day feigning an illness. She tells Nancy that she can't
possibly make it to school. Nancy realizes Chloe's faking it and takes this
opportunity to give her daughter a pep talk about being a teenager in today's
society. Chloe later decides to head to school, but when she gets there, she's a
nervous wreck. Philip has big plans for her...
Sami stops by the hospital with hopes of snagging a receptionist job. But when
she finds out that Nancy Wesley is in charge of that department, her spirits
drop. Nancy agrees to interview Sami, but it doesn't go especially well. After
all, Sami doesn't exactly have a clean record when it comes to the hospital.
Sami leaves the interview devastated. She tells Brandon she totally bombed, but
then he surprises her and says he'd like to have a talk with Nancy. Maybe he can
convince her to hire Sami...
The people of Salem gather for Princess Gina's funeral. Greta says a few final
words about her mother. As this is going on, Hope peers out the turret window
and her spirits hit an all time high when she sees everyone she loves down on
the castle lawn. She pounds on the window with all her might, but no one can
hear. Later, there's a technical glitch as Princess Gina's coffin is being
lowered into the grave. The casket falls off the forks and the impact causes it
to open up. Horrified reactions as everyone sees princess Gina's decaying hand.
Bo takes a closer look and realizes the hand is pointing upward (toward the
turret). Could this be a sign?

Philip is shocked, and perhaps a bit jealous when he sees Chloe at dot.com with
a guy. But then he gets a closer look and realizes it's their music teacher
trying to convince Chloe to join chorus. After their teacher leaves, Philip sits
down with Chloe and she confronts him. She wants to know why he was spying on
her. Philip says he just wanted to see what kind of a guy would be interested in
a wacko like her. Chloe takes offense and calls Philip a narrow-minded
hypocrite. Later, Jason and Jan show up and mock Chloe from afar. Philip feels
guilty, but will be apologize?
Just as Brandon runs into Lexie at the hospital, he gets a call from Benny.
Brandon excuses himself, but Lexie watches his demeanor throughout the phone
call. Benny informs Brandon that Larry isn't going to take the meeting unless
Brandon is there. Brandon is frustrated, but assures Benny he'll take care of
it. After they hang up, Lexie asks Brandon what the phone call was about.
Meanwhile, when a cop brings a disabled African American down to the station,
Abe is reminded of Larry Morris. He'll never forgive himself for what happened
to the guy...
Lucas tells Nicole that Victor has enlisted in the help of Rex Rollins... a Wall
Street big wig and Internet king. He's going to help titan get back on its feet.
But little does Nicole know, Mr. Rollins is in on Victor's plan to get back the
five million dollars Kate bribed her with...
Austin is upset when he learns that Sami took him to Tuscany with an ulterior
motive... to meet with Mickey. Sami tells Mickey that Victor kicked her out of
the house, but she's found a new job and will soon have a place of her own. All
she needs now is Mickey's help as a lawyer to get her full custody of Will.
Mickey hands Sami a mysterious legal document and says he's afraid there's
nothing they can do...
