Wedding Cake Photo Gallery

Here are photos of some of the Wedding Cakes did for the 2001 Wedding season. They all get my undivided attention. There links below to some I did this year. More to come soon.

The Rondure

The bride came to me with a Wilton Wedding Cake book, opened it up and pointed to this cake. It was beautiful. The flowers are her wedding colors of violet and yellow. I like the vines around the columns.

50th Wedding Anniversary

I did this for a very good friend's parent's 50th Wedding Annversary. I was given a linen napkin to match the colors of the flowers and marzipan fruit on the cake. It was then sprinkled with 24kt gold dust powder. The idea of the grapevines growing around the columns came from the Rondure above.

The Tiramisu

The bride wanted a real Tiramisu Wedding cake. Each tier is twelve layers genoise each spiked with Italian espresso and mascarpone filling. The tortas were then coated with dark ganache, then iced with espresso and cocoa enhanced Italian buttercream. Chocolate covered espresso beans adorn the sides like chocolate cameos. Truffles are in the center of the cocoa dusted columns and chocolate roses are on the top.

Marzipan Autumn Fruit

The Bride was specific about a certain shade of burgandy. Her desire for autumn color and content was met with hand molded and hand painted gold dusted marzipan autumn fruit, pumkins, gourds and leaves cascading down the side.
The bride said it was the most beautiful wedding cake she had ever seen.

The Marzipan Forest

I give this bride credit for starting this. Suzanne asked me to do her cake in November 2000. Suzanne is the neice my best friend of 20 years. The reception was at a big log cabin in the country and was beautiful. This is the largest cake I've done so far.

Key Lime and Sea Shore Wedding Cake

Here a cake I did for my best friends Birthday. It is a chocolate basketweave with marzipan fruit. It was very good.
