HTML stands for HyperText Markup Langauge. It is the language in use for building Web Pages used on the World Wide Web such as the one you are looking at.

Netscape HTML Tag Reference
At this site, you will find lists of all the HTML tags and attributes supported in Netscape Navigator 4.0 and earlier. Each tag listing includes a description of the attributes for that tag. This site is well organized and allows you to go through each HTML command with examples and syntaxes. This site is provided by Netscape.

The HTML Pit Stop
This is a good site provided by Page Resource.com. It contains different tutorials related to HTML, JavaScript Tutorials, CGI/Perl, Java, and many more. This site contains:

A Beginner Guide to HTML
This is another site where you can find an introduction to HTML language. This site has a primer for producing documents in HTML. This site provides downloadable files in Zip ro Pdf format. This site is not being updated as mentioned in the page, but it does contain all the introductory material needed to build a web page. This site is provided by the NCSA.

XOOM Help Center
In addition to providing these tutorials, XOOM provides free web hosting with 11 MB of free space to use. This may give you a chance to start your own web page and start learning. This tutorial is easy to use, and goes step by step with examples and figures on how each command will appear in a web page.

This site does not help you in writing HTML codes, but it allows you to obtain free, original DHTML scripts and components to enhance your web site. Users agree not to remove the copyright notices inside each script.
