Very few could ever come close
To having, the true feelings of really being in love.
Love is not just a word spoken,
It's the actions of bonding
And the true meaning of being in Love.
Although you've gone to heaven
The memories will never leave.
We had it all.
and some said it would never last,
But it did, almost 26 year,
until the time you passed.
"Til death us do part"
But with each passing day our love
only grew even stronger
As any others, there were the hard times and the good.
But, looking back,
We had it all.
Just how to tell you,
How you helped me to grow,
If not for you, I'd never had experience being in love,
Or being love by someone so gentle-hearted
You saw in me what others couldn't
And that is how it all started
I knew that had to come from within your heart and soul,
That you did have.
We had it all.
And without greed,
You were one of a rare breed
When God blessed us with two
Highly valued gifts from heaven
Was another blessing indeed,
So precious they were
You and two baby's made my three
We had it all.
Now I know you just the same
You can't fool me either,
remember I do know you,
You may not know it but I can feel your presents daily
Each and every day
When I need you most,
I know you're here to continue helping.
You're with me always to reassure me the guidance of our children.
Although they have grown,
And so grand they are
They will always have the need for
The father you choose to be
You may be gone from our sight,
But not from our hearts, souls or memories
This could never happen
As the Father and Husband you were,
There could never be another
Honey, we had it all.
And the doctors said you'd not be able to respond
To our words
With all the love in you heart you did
And acknowledged the fact that you loved
Me and our two children,
You waited, which only proves
Being in love
Can be an amazing gift
We had it all.
You in guiding our children (Tammy) and (Jerry)
In case you haven't heard Tammy and your son in law Brent have given
Us two granddaughter, (Amber), (Brentney)
And yes, you have a grandson too,
(Brendon)
So much like you they seem
And when Amber looks at pictures
She can spot you in a heartbeat, with her little voice
I hear "there's my Grandfather"
Oh, what a proud feeling
You see she know as well as the other two will.
That indeed she does have a grandfather,
only at the age of 3 ½ she knows
We've got it all.
I just hoped you knew how much you were loved
We can't go back
But we can hold on to our memories
For you see that is what you left us
And the memories will remain forever
In our hearts
We've had it all and didn't
Even know it
"We've got it all"
