I THINK THIS IS AWESOME ! ! !
This was sent to me by a dear friend and fellow FHS Alumni. As soon as I listened to it
I knew I had to share with others. I have forwarded it to a number of different people.
But I had to go one step farther and post it here too. Please take the time to listen to it
at least once.

I have no idea how many of our classmates use YouTube. Until recently I didn't.
At least I didn't use it on a regular basis. But that has all changed. I've found that it's
a great place to hear any song you want to hear. There's probable a lot of them not
there, but so far I haven't found any and I have been looking.

A Genealogy Bug !!
I have been one of those odd people who go through cemeteries looking for information on
headstones. A good number of years ago I got started on a little genealogy research project. Boy was
that a laugh. There isn't any such animal. Genealogy is something you will either lover or hate. I found I loved it. I spent may long boring hours at the Terrell Historical Library downtown and more hours tramping through cemeteries all over Southeast Texas and Mississippi. It becomes so addictive that when you find a new piece of the puzzle it's a thrill; a true feeling of accomplishment. However, after a number of years of butting my head against stone walls and marble headstones I got burned out. I simple walked away, glancing back only occasionally. Then here comes Martha Sawyer Peveto's wonderful work. Her books on the Sawyer family history are very interesting. Sure, there is the usually born and died information but there is soooo much more. At any rate she motivated me to renewing my quest.
I will eventually put her link in the classmates link area but for now I am listing it here. It seems that some are actually reading this portion of the site.
Martha says in her emails to " Check out my Sawyer/Shelton family history site at
SAWYER/SHELTON FAMILY HISTORY
or
Read my books at:
SAWYERS OF SMITHVILLE
and
SAWYERS OF BUCKNER'S CREEK
or
buy the e-book version of my books at:

I recently received this cool link. I was quit pleased to see all the different sites You can access from it. Since much of material is copy righted, I am not listing the individual links. I really do believe if you take the time to check them out you will find something you'll really enjoy. But remember, it's someone else's web site, I am just letting you in. I especially enjoy the selection, " That Ragged Old Flag. "

Personally, I'm really sorry that we didn't have a 45 year reunion. Maybe there will still be a lot of us around for the 50th. One thing that we do need is a true reunion committee and not just the volunteer informal group that we have been using in the past. We also need to know what classmates are looking for in a reunion . . . . . . These are just some passing thoughts

It's so easy to lose contact with our FHS friends. The reasons are too numerous
to mention but the simple truth is we do not see each other enough and some of you we
haven't seen since graduating. This web site is one way we can keep in touch.
As you look at the different pages hopefully you will find a place full of memories as well
as a place where you can see what is currently happening.
I'm Ronny Eller and I can be contacted at ... txron@hotmail.com ... I would only ask
that you include " FHS " somewhere in the Subject. In that way, it shouldn't get deleted.
