Forever Freedom Spirit raised his head in to the breeze. Beside him Esperanza, his mother, grazed quietly. Spirit gave his mother a nudge and trotted of in to the nearby forest. There he found his paint mare, Rain, and his new born filly, Haja. Haja's body was the colour of Spirits mane and her stockings were white. Her mane and tail were a cream and there was a white star on her forehead. At the same time twin foals were being born at the Indian village. The mother, Rahsis, was a chestnut and the father, Carro, was a black stallion with white socks. One of the foals was black with a white star and chestnt socks, Upesi, and the other was a black and chestnut pinto called Arnagaror, Angar for short. Haja grew more with everyday and so did Angar and Upesi. One day Upesi challenged Angar to a race from the villiage to the apple tree at the top of the hill. Upesi won, his name not meaning fast for nothing. As they returned, a rope flew out of nowhere and caught Angar around the neck. Upesi ran away but not towards the village. He waited in the trees and followed the rustlers to the calvery fort! Angar struggled and kicked. Somethimg caught his eye, a sharp object was sticking out of the ground. He crept up and rubed his rope against it. The ropes fell off him. He was free! Running for his life, Angar made it away from the sleeping rustlers and towards the cimarron herd. Haja awoke early one morning. Sneaking away from the herd she made her way towards the lake. Just as she made it there, a warning neigh sounded. Haja's head went straight up as a cougar leapt out of nowhere. A young colt dived at the cougar protecting Haja. Soon Spirit awoke annd drove the cougar off. He turned to the colt. "Who are you?" he asked "I'm Angar," replied the black and chestnut pinto colt. Spirit looked around. "Where are your parents?" "I don't know. I'm lost," Angar said. "You can stay here," said Spirit and with that he made his way back to the herd. The Angar remembered someting. He had seen Upesi following him. Upesi was still with the rustlers!
