Kurt E. Zachary, P.E. – Mr. Zachary has over seventeen years of experience, eight with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and over nine years with L. S. Engineering, Inc. (LSE) Mr. Zachary is familiar with all aspects of MDOT’s field work, including project management, claim resolution, inspection, testing, documentation, and staking. Mr. Zachary’s experience includes construction management of road & bridge construction projects, complex sewer and utility projects, and roadway reconstruction projects. Mr. Zachary has lead LSE’s project record review program over the last five years.

Robert H. Scott, P.E. – Mr. Scott has over forty three years of design and construction experience – twenty three years with Scott Civil Engineering Company (SCECO), ten years with the Kent County DPW, and ten years with other engineering firms. Bridge design, bridge inspection and bridge repairs are Mr. Scott’s specialty. His experience also includes grant application preparation, historical bridge documentation, sanitary landfill design, design and operation of a 1000 ton per day county-wide solid waste disposal system, design of water lines, design of storm and sanitary sewer collection systems, design of road and street improvements, and preparation of master storm and sanitary sewer plans.

Barbara A. Richter, P.E. – Ms. Richter has over fifteen years of construction experience-eight with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and seven with L. S. Engineering, Inc. (LSE). Construction oversight of bridge and road reconstruction projects, critical path/scheduling, determination and design of complex maintaining traffic plans are Ms. Richter’s primary focus. Ms. Richter’s experience also includes resolving complex construction issues, working with the public, and designing roadway reconstruction and intersection improvement projects.

Eric Rickert, P.E. – Mr. Rickert has over ten years of design and construction experience in the Michigan transportation industry. Mr. Rickert oversees Scott Civil Engineering Company’s (SCECO) Bridge Inspection Program inspecting over seven hundred bridges each year throughout the lower peninsula of Michigan. Mr. Rickert has been involved in transportation projects ranging from large airport construction to new boulevard construction and existing roadway reconstruction. Mr. Rickert’s experience includes resolving complex construction issues, developing traffic staging plans, designing bridge repair solutions, and properly documenting construction projects in accordance with MDOT and federal requirements. Drawing on his broad base of construction experience, Mr. Rickert has also developed complex critical path networks used to determine key dates and activities for urban construction projects.

Michael TenBrock, P.E. – Mr. TenBrock joined Scott Civil Engineering Company (SCECO) in 2006. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. TenBrock served as Holland’s City Engineer for six years and with another consultant prior to that time. Road reconstruction, utility design, project management, bridge repairs, and bridge design are Mr. TenBrock’s specialty. His experience also includes grant application preparation, right-of-way acquisition, municipal budget preparation and wastewater treatment facility design.

Thomas A. Coleman, P.E. – Mr. Coleman had over 40 years of experience in design, construction, administration, and planning of highway and highway related projects with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) prior to joining L. S. Engineering, Inc. (LSE). Mr. Coleman has extensive experience in soils engineering, erosion control procedures, environmental issues, contractor claim resolution, and administration.

Frederick Droski II, E.I.T. – Mr. Droski has been with L. S. Engineering, Inc. (LSE) since 2002. Upon completion of his engineering degree in 2004, he joined the LSE team full-time. Prior to 2002, Mr. Droski worked for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) in the summer of 2001 through the cooperative education program. Mr. Droski is LSE’s Project Documentation Manager. Mr. Droski is experienced with MDOT documentation practices, Field Manager software, and MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction, Standard Plans, Material Source Guide, and other relevant publications.

Gary Baker – Mr. Baker joined L. S. Engineering, Inc. (LSE) in 2004, Mr. Baker has over 33 years of construction experience – 25 with the Macomb County Road Commission and six years with engineering firms prior to joining LSE. Mr. Baker specializes in project inspection and testing oversight for grading and drainage projects. Mr. Baker has extensive experience in storm and sanitary sewer construction and is one of LSE’s construction traffic specialists.

Bryan MacKinnon – Mr. MacKinnon has nearly eight years of construction experience. Brent Goodwin – Mr. Goodwin joined L. S. Engineering, Inc. (LSE) in the spring of 2002. Mr. Goodwin’s mechanical aptitude, practical skills, increased experience, and strong work ethic have made him a great asset to the LSE team. Mr. Goodwin is an inspection and testing specialist. Mr. Goodwin’s experience includes moisture and density testing, on-site concrete testing and inspection of major road and bridge projects.
