The Dub is suitable for ages 5 and up. Contains violence and evil fairies! Viewed on VHS 60 minute long movie.

Absolutely, the worst and most disappointing of the Sailor Moon movies. Sailor Moon Super S does not come close to the quality or entertainment value that Sailor Moon R and Sailor Moon S provides. Well, let's see. The movie is about this fairy dude who is kidnapping kids, because a queen lady Badiyanu wants to take all the children’s dream energy to create her black dream hole that will swallow up the earth. But each kid is having a peaceful dream while she is stealing all of the children's dream energy, so that makes it ok, according to the bad guys. Of course, Badiyanu, unfortunately, kidnaps the ever irritating Rini (or mini sailor moon or whatever the hell you want to call her) and of course Rini has a ton of energy, enough to make the black hole big enough to crush the world, will the sailor scouts be able to save the world again, from the candy throwing fairies? Ok, let me just go off on how I hate this movie. I will make a list for you of why I hate this movie, for your convenience of course, (and I am feeling kinda lazy tonight.)

The Bad:

1. The story is terrible. I mean what the hell? It's all been done before, little children in a candy land from a fairy tale, and evil lady trying to destroy earth. It's very stupid.
2. The characters are just awful. The bad guys have no depth whatsoever. They are just there. It's like the writers said, "oh that's right, we need a bad guy in this movie. This evil lady looks evil. Let's put her in and some little henchman fairies will work too." I mean, yuck. The fairy bad guy is really stupid. The bad lady has nothing to her. (and the ice witch and Fiore are much better bad guys) Why is she destroying the earth? What's her problem? etc. The presence of the bad guys in the movie, is just so we can see a few fights. Oh my, don't even get me started on Peruru. This little rebel fairy, who disagrees with the queen's plans is really annoying. Almost as annoying as sailor mini moon. AND Diana the little kitten.... don't get me wrong, I love cats, and I have two of my own, (their names are Sunny and Oscar, they're so cute. ::ahem::) but I really wanted to, like, kick Diana or something. She was soooooooooo annoying. I mean, she would be cool if her voice wasn't as irritating as was.
3. The fights are pathetic. First of all, the sailor scouts fight things called bon bon babies or something like that and they are really corny. We have these chunky pieces of candy flying around at the sailor scouts. Ooooooooooh I'm terrified... I mean, the fights with the fairies are pretty weak at best. The movie builds itself up to a potentially earth shattering final fight with whatever her face is, but the fight is really pathetic. One hit and the lady is dead. I really wanted to see Sailor Moon turn into Queen Serenity and whip out a huge laser and smack around the evil lady, but sadly, I never saw it.
4. The movie is really corny. The candy attacks, Sailor Mini Moon copying all of Sailor Moon's attacks, dancing candy and things like that really add up to unbearably corny levels. The other Sailor Moon movies are somewhat corny, (it is to be expected from a Sailor Moon movie) but this goes far beyond the accepted level of corniness. Really, how many guys need to play the flute in this movie?
5. This movie is very silly. The other two movies were pretty dramatic and emotional without being too serious, but this movie is just ridiculous. I wish it was more serious. Saving the world from a woman kidnapping the world's children shouldn't be that funny. This movie had no drama and no action, for that matter. (the last scene tries to be serious and emotional, but it comes off as a sad attempt to stick in a predictable sob scene.)
6. Do Sailor Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune always need to show up at the right time?
7. There is ALOT of whining in this movie. I started to think to myself, "Quit your whinin', just shut up and smash the evil lady!" Sailor Moon was hit, it's time for another round of girly screaming! OUCH, SHE'S TOOO POWERFUL... I CAN'T TAKE IT. OUCH OUCH OWWWWWWW. AHHHHHHHHHHHH.
8. I know I already said it, but the thing that really pisses me off about this movie is that the last battle totally sucked.

The good stuff

1. The sailor scout attacks are pretty nifty. They are really flashy and have great camera angles to show off the attacks. I love sailor Mercury's aqua illusion attack. (take a look at the pic) However, each scout does about one attack in the whole hour movie and that simply isn't enough.
2. I like Sailor Moon's new uniform. It's pretty snazzy.
3. The voice acting is the same as the TV show seasons one and two.

Like I said, I think this is the worst out of all the movies. I totally recommend Sailor Moon R and Sailor Moon S because they are the perfect balance of action and drama. The one thing that could've saved this movie, would've been an awesome final battle against Badiyanu, but even that doesn't happen. I say, buy the other two movies instead. They are only ten bucks and this movie ain't worth ten bucks. Save the money for a sailor moon episode tape instead. I would say rent it if you insist on seeing them all, but you'll regret wasting 4 bucks to rent it.
