November 30: Home Again

I really didn't want to leave Pittsburgh! The weather was so unseasonably nice and I just love my inlaws! (Of course, I imagine if we were there all the time, there'd be disagreements!) I've told Rich I can't divorce him, I'd have to leave the family. However, I'm really looking forward to seeing the dog tomorrow, and to catching up with all the news. I did catch up a bit with Dreama but I want to know how Kymm's Thanksgiving dinner went, and about Renee's baby, for instance.

Checking out was a bit interesting, as the motel clerk misread her screen to the tune of $200 in our favor. We finally convinced her that 11 days at $50/day was more than $300!

The trip included a 2-hour unscheduled layover in Salt Lake City, sitting in the plane. Ma Nature was pulling her "not yet, you're only 54!" act and I went right through abject misery to a whole new depth. We got in at 1 AM and our friend was waiting: fortunately he'd been following our travails on the Internet and also had listened to my message from Minneapolis.

I'd been keeping up with my one e-mail account, and had 443 messages here. And 5 phone messages, one of which was me trying to get hold of my friend. It's good to be home!
