November 23: Dizzy

Right across from Gore's campaign HQ in Nashville
...snicker! (NYTimes photo)

When I woke up this morning it was almost orange outside, what with the light and the leaves. We don't have the flaming reds of the Northeast, but it still looked a bit like the world was on fire. Then, 7:30, two "Whisper chippers" pulled up. Gronk. It got worse, with the lawn service's leafblowers. I think the leaves are pretty down. I also think rakes are nice.

I went to see The World is not Enough. I was right, see one James Bond movie, you've seen them all, plus this one reminded me of Star Wars right up till it reminded me of Titanic. I did manage to "rest my eyes" a couple of times.

I was going through a bag of stuff I'd just "filed away" some time ago and found a stale Ghiradelli chocolate bar, so of course I ate it. Big mistake. I was then slightly queasy and more than slightly dizzy the rest of the evening. For awhile there, I thought I was going to have to tell Rich to take a taxi for the colonoscopy tomorrow. Fortunately, it finally eased, about bedtime.
