Swimming Records

The Five Oak Green Hoppers Sports Club has been in existance since 1987. In the past it has had teams in Water polo, Finswimming, Swimming, Underwater Hockey, Cricket and Rugby. Now it is soley aquatic with teams in Finswimming. We are fully British Finswimming Association registered and host at least one British Finswimming League meet a year. The team is not an open club (i.e. you have to be invited) and has a dispersed membership. If, however, you are interested in competing with or for the team then please feel free to e-mail me. Five Oak Green is a small village in Kent. It used to be (and in a small way, still is) the centre of the hopping industry, hence the name. The name also eludes to a waterpolo shot, where the ball has plenty of top spin (usually from a swing shot, rather than a straight shot) and bounces several times before (hopefully) scoring. Finswimming Records

Foggies gearing up for the 2008 Short Course Nationals!

The FOG Hoppers will be sending a team to the BFA Short Course National Championships on 15th November 2008 in Edenbridge, Kent.. The club has a great history at the event (winning most of the men's seniors titles in the last 10 years). Some of our elite finswimmers are already in training for the event. If you want to come to the competition, have a look on the BFA's website for more details.
