Chapter 7 The Explanation Even though Voldemort and his Death Eaters were of the grounds, Dumbledore still had them sleep in the Great Hall. He conjured up sleeping bags and pillows. Alexa put her sleeping bag next to the wall and lay there with the nights events going over and over in her uead. The high point of the night was when she found that Harry, Ron and Hermione still wanted to be her friend. Harry and the others set up their sleeping bags next to Alexa. The night just got worse. Malfoy came over with Crabbe and Goyle on either side of him. "Is it true what Longbottom says Alexa?" Malfoy sneered. "Shove off Malfoy," Alexa said."Or I'll tell Voldemort to turn you into a permanent bouncing ferrit. Better yet, I'll do it myself," She enjoyed watching Malfoy turn pale as he rembered his encounter with Moody. "You know from what I heard, you were a good ferrit...You want to experience it again? Just keep on going and you'll be one." "Y-You wouldn't do that" Malfoy said trying to convince himself. "Just watch me. And I think Crabbe and Goyle would make really great guinea pigs." Harry and Ron failed to stifle laughs at the looks on their faces. As soon as they were out of earshot, Alexa turned to Harry. "Neville heard you? I didn't want anyone else to know. If Malfoy knows then the whole school does too." Harry started to respond but then Dumbledore stood up. The quiet chatter that had been going on stopped. "I think you all should know what happened tonight. Voldemort and his Death Eaters came to the entrance hall. They were stopped there by Ronald Weasly and Harry Potter. Voldemort attempted to kill Harry for the 5 time. At the same time Voldemort said the Avada Kadvra curse, Alexa said a curse that has recently been discovered. Alexa's curse blocked Voldemort's. Hermione Granger appeared in the entrance hall. Alexa told her to take Ron and get back here which Hermione did. Voldemort then called his second-in-command, Salishia Riddle and Alexa told Harry to come back. Harry did, however most reluctantly and Alexa was left alone with the two most powerful Dark wizards. Those two Dark wizards also happen to be her parents." All around the Hall people gasped. Alexa heard some third year Ravenclaws nearby mutter, "so it's true?" "You might not realize it but Alexa Riddle just saved all our lives tonight. I therefore award Gryffindor House 400 points. Although Voldemort and Salishia were in Slytherin, Alexa is in Gryffindor. You might say that she's the good egg in the bunch." Dumbledore smiled."Now, no more talking and off to sleep!
