Chapter 28 Alexa and Sirius's Meeting "No interruptions please. Ok. I was 7 and at my grandmother old house. I was looking through the attic and I found something. It was a large gold hourglass on a gold chain, a timeturner except this one turned back years. I didn't know what it was or what it did so I put it on; a very stupid thing to do in the magical world. I was turning it backwards, just to see the sand turn; don't ask. "I kept turning turning it and when I finally stopped, the room started spinning. I closed my eyes. When I opened them, I was on a street full of people; well 13 or 14. "I saw Sirius there, talking to Pettigrew. Pettigrew reached for his wand, put it behind his back, and I ran for cover behind a fence. I heard the explosion and I looked back, knowing what I would see. I saw a rat rushing toward the gutter and I heard Sirius laughing at Pettigrew, he said something but I don't remember what but I was scared. I looked around, not being able to stop myself, and I saw the peoples' bodies. I ran from behind the fence I'd hidden behind and started to check to see if there were any survivors. Sirius saw me, but I didn't care about it then. The Ministry came and took him away. He was going to say something to me but didn't have the chance. "When I was finished there, I turned the timeturner forward and I was back in the present. "When I was ten, somehow, I don't know how, I was in Azkaban - kind of touring it. I saw Sirius again and managed to be able to talk to him alone. He remembered me and told me he hadn't done it. I knew he hadn't. I'd seen Pettigrew go for his wand but the Ministry would never believe a ten year old. Anyway, I found a way to communicate without using owl post. We've been talking that way ever since." "You're right, that is strange." "Alexa do you still have your timeturner?" "Not that one but I have one that turns back months. Why?" "Because we could save you from the echo." "How do we kill it though?" "We could shoot curses." "No, they'd go straight through. It isn't solid." "How?" Alexa was silent. "What if the prophecy has to be complete?" "So in other words, Dumbledore is dead." "I don't know." "Let's just go back in time and save you from it. Then you wouldn't be dead." Alexa ran up to the girl's dormitories and returned carrying her invisibility cloak and the timeturner. Harry ran and got his cloak and when he returned, Alexa magically elongated the chain so it would fit around all four of them. Then she turned it back one full time and half of another. All four of them closed their eyes because the room was spinning fast. Harry opened his eyes and looked around. They were behind the few trees on the cliff. They saw the echo materialize with Alexa. They were only a few feet away from the past figures so they could hear everything. Alexa closed her eyes and shuddered. "I'll Apparate back- outside the grounds- you three take the timeturner and the cloaks." she wispered, handing it to them. "Goodbye Alexa" Alexa charged toward her past self and pulled her out of the way and Apparated back to the gates of Hogwarts.
