Chapter 23 Salisha's Revenge The dark cloud seemed to be invisible to everybody. Nobody could see it but everyone noticed that their anger, worries, troubles and sadness were gone. But the cloud had gotten larger. It would wrap itself around someone and the person would feel a warm blanket around himself or herself. The cloud would leave the person and they would only have happiness. Two weeks after the battle with the Death Eaters, Harry, Alexa, Ron, and Hermione were walking on the grounds. The cloud from the prophecy had been hovering around Alexa got ready to make its move. "I don't get it. I could have sworn I'd seen light from underneath the door after Hermione came in two weeks ago." Alexa was saying. "It's like there's a strange thing there and we can't see it. Not like an invisibility cloak, and not like a ghost. I don't know what it is." The sun had been shining but it disappeared. There had been no wind but it picked up and became cold. "Ok, that is wierd. It was just sunny and warm a minute ago." Ron said. Alexa looked up. "That prophecy is--" what it was, they never found out because the cloud had wrapped itself around Alexa and picked her up and taken her away. "Where'd she go?" Ron said as soon as she disappeared. "We should go tell Dumbledore. People just don't disappear when they're talking to their friends." They ran back to the school to tell Dumbledore, not knowing how important that prophecy was. * * * * * * Alexa felt herself being lifted into the sky and taken away from Hogwarts. She saw Harry, Ron and Hermione looking for her but apparently they couldn't see her. She was being held in the air by the strange presence she'd felt. But this time that presence was stronger. The cloud finally landed at the spot where Alexa had killed Salisha. Alexa looked around her and saw the cloud, for the first time, take the form of Salsiha Riddle. "You thought you could kill me by pushing me off the cliff, didn't you?" it said in an eery and hollow voice. Alexa stood, frozen, eyes wide in disbelief. "H-How did you get back? I thought you were dead!" "You were mistaken. I died, but came back. I came back as an echo of darkness that feeds on people’s troubles and worries. And I'm here to take my revenge." "W-What do you mean your revenge?" "You didn't join your father and I. I told you I would kill you if you didn't. So here I am and I'm here to kill you." "But how did you get here?" "A piece of parchment that has had you troubled for weeks now." "The-the prophecy?" Alexa whispered. "Yes. That prophecy is true. 'The daughter of the worst may meet her doom when she battles the unknown.' I am the unknown the prophecy referred to. And now I shall kill you. It is my turn to say 'Goodbye Alexa'. Goodbye." The form of Salisha floated up to and wrapped itself around Alexa and sucked the life out of her before Alexa could do anything. When the cloud released her, Alexa fell to the ground, dead. Chapter 23 The Witness Sirius heard a strange noise from the sky. He transformed into his dog form and ran out to the cliff. He hid behind a nearby tree and watched a strange form materialise with Alexa. The strange form took the shape of Salisha. The two started talking but Sirius couldn't hear them even with his dog senses. He carefully crept up, hiding behind the trees. "Goodbye Alexa. Goodbye." he heard Salisha say. Sirius ran toward Alexa as fast as he could. The form of Salisha wrapped itself around Alexa. Sirius's dog senses could tell something horrible was happening. Alexa collapsed on the ground right as Sirius reached her. Salisha's cloud-like form laughed cruelly and floated off. Sirius transformed and cradled Alexa, even though he knew it was too late. "I-I'm too late. She's-- she's gone. Alexa, I promise you, Harry and I will find a way to get rid of this thing. I promise." Sirius said, wishing she could hear him. Sirius picked up her body and Apparated right outside the grounds of Hogwarts. He ran up toward the castle awkwardly, carrying Alexa. When he reached the doors, he pulled them open and ran inside, almost knocked over Harry, Ron, Hermione and Dumbledore. "What happened?" Dumbledore asked. "I saw a strange form take the shape of Salisha. Alexa was talking to it and it talked back. I couldn't hear their conversation as I was too far away. I had started running toward them and the shape wrapped itself around Alexa. When it released her, Alexa--was dead." Harry's mouth had been hanging open ever since he saw Alexa's body but he finally came back to his senses. "The prophecy." he said quietly. "What prophecy?" "Alexa had this prophecy and it said she was going to battle the unknown and could meet her doom or be covered in darkness. But it also said she would come back to her loved ones." Harry said. Harry, Ron, and Hermione had started crying by that time. "I can't believe I actually thought she was evil. She died for us. You know that? She died and I thought she was evil." "Many people would have. She's Voldemort's daughter. Of course people would be scared. But she wasn't a thing like him. And now she’s gone. Forever." Sirius said. "She didn't listen. I told her to take the prophecy seriously but she didn't listen to me. It's my entire fault. I should have been more persistent." "Sirius, how did you meet Alexa anyway?" Harry asked. |
