Chapter 21 Draco and Harry Nobody had noticed Lucius Malfoy slip away from the battle and into the Forbidden Forest. It was so confusing with curses flying both directions. He walked behind the trees so he wouldn't be seen. Careful not to make any noise, Lucius slipped through the back of the shield. The students were all concentrating on the battle in case the shield would break so they didn't notice Lucius walking up toward where his son and Alexa stood. He reached around her and covered her mouth so she wouldn't scream, and pulled her back. "Quite amusing." he heard his son say. Draco looked over to where Alexa had once stood but- as Lucius had her, struggling to keep hold of her but still had her- she wasn't there. Draco looked around and saw his father holding Alexa back with his wand pointed at her like a gun. "Let her go!" he yelled. Harry, Ron, and Hermione all spun around. All three of them had their wands ready to curse Mr. Malfoy. "Drop your wands or I'll kill her right here, before your very eyes." Lucius said. All four of them scowled at him but slowly and reluctantly, they dropped their wands. "Very good. I know none of you are advanced in magic but stand back, just the same." They each stepped back, glaring at Mr. Malfoy. "Now. Any last words Alexa?" he asked, uncovering her mouth. "Yes." Alexa was smiling. "I have great faith in my friends. So you won't get away with it. Believe me. If I die, I'll come back and haunt you so you'll wish you were the one who was dead. But like I said, I have great faith in them. That's all." "This is for killing my Lord, Alexa Riddle." But before Lucius could do anything, Alexa had snapped her fingers and all five wands that were lying on the ground rose, and flew toward its owner. Alexa caught it, and twisted around and shot a curse toward Mr. Malfoy, which he blocked and sent one back. Lucius was having a hard time taking care of all five of them but the six not seriously injured Death Eaters came up to help but the students were still hard to keep off. Hermione and Ron seemed reluctant to curse the Death Eaters but Harry and Draco were sending enough curses to make up for them and occasionally stopping to do a counter curse. Alexa was blocking all of the dangerous curses and letting something simple go by to be prepared for another one. After a few minutes of duelling, Sirius stepped in. Immediately, the Death Eaters stopped, but just blocked the curses Harry and Draco had sent toward them. Alexa noticed that the desk she had transfigured Pettigrew into was moving. "Sirius, take over for me in case they start again." Alexa whispered to him. She ran over toward the desk and formed an electrical cage around it. "If you try and escape, I'll let Sirius and Remus take care of you." Alexa whispered to the desk, which froze. "That's better." Alexa stood up and ran back toward the others. The Death Eaters had backed out of the shield and Harry, Draco, and Sirius had followed. Ron and Hermione had stopped completely. The six Death Eaters that weren't seriously hurt from the giants turned and ran into the Forest.
