Chapter 18 Malfoy's Secret "So what did you want?" Alexa asked after she was sure the others were gone. "Well...Alexa, you know my parents are Death Eaters. I'm a lot like you actually. My parents are evil but I'm not." "But--" "No, wait. Let me finish. I know I act like I'm evil and everything but I'm really not. At least I don't think I am." "You're saying it was all just an act?" "Yes. My father would've killed me if he knew that I wasn't anything like him. I've been wanting to tell you since the Christmas dance. I guess I was kind of like you because you couldn't give away that information about the Death Eaters." "How did you--" "Dumbledore told us about You-Know-Who--" "Just say his name. It's not like Voldemort is going to come kill you for saying his name. He's dead. I killed him." "Right. Dumbledore told us about...Voldemort's journal. I'm glad you've done everything Alexa. I'd probably be acting evil still. And I want to help get rid of the Death Eaters." "I'm not killing them. I'm just helping plot this little Rebellion we've got. I'll only kill if I have to." "You're a real Gryffindor, Alexa. You gathered your courage, to save everyone here and all over the world, not even caring about the consequenses. That takes a lot of courage." "It'd take a lot of courage to tell me about your act." "That's different." Madam Pomfrey came over and told Malfoy to get out. "She needs rest. Out! Out!" Then she gave Alexa some more of the potion. Alexa fell into the deep sleep again. * * * * * "So what did Malfoy want?" Hermione asked when Alexa woke up that afternoon. "Um...you might want to sit down. It's crazy. I'm not sure if it's true. Anyway, he told me he was glad I killed Voldemort. He said that his being evil was all an act." "What?" "That's not right." "Just let me finish." Alexa said. "Now I sound like him" she thought. "He acted evil because his father would have killed him if he hadn't. Now he wants to help get rid of the Death Eaters." There was a silence. "He wants to go against his own father and maybe kill him?" Ron said. "It's not like that should be unusual. I went against my parents and killed them. But yes, that's what Malfoy wants to do." "That's it. He's gone crazy." "We could at least give him a chance." "Alexa, you’re like Dumbledore. Giving people chances." " He's a great man, Dumbledore." "Hagrid!" "Yup." "How was your trip?" "It was a'right. Found me mum. Mighty happy ter see me she was. Convinced the giants ter side with us. But seems we don't need it now." "We'll need help with the Death Eaters." Harry said. "Sirius Black. What're yeh doin' here?" Hagrid asked seeing Sirius for the first time. "Fulfilling my duty as a godfather to Harry and a good friend to Alexa." "Hagrid," Hermione said. "Listen. Sirius is innocent. Pettigrew blew up the street and turned himself into a rat." She said and explained the story to Hagrid. "So yeh were in Azkaban fer 13 years and yeh was innocent?" "Yes." "Alexa, brought summat fer yeh." Hagrid said handing her a box. "Open it." Alexa opened the box and saw many chocolate frogs inside. Hagrid reached in and pulled out a card from the bottom. He showed it to Alexa.  On the card was a picture of Alexa, smiling and waving. Alexa Riddle Alexa Riddle recently defeated the most feared wizard for a century. She is also the daughter of You-Know-Who but she destroyed him in hopes to save her friends. Alexa is attending Hogwarts and presently in her fifth year. She is also a good friend to Harry Potter. "There's already a card out? It just happened yesterday!" Alexa said, amazed. " S' in the Daily Prophet too." Hagrid said, pulling out a newspaper. On the top of the front page was a picture of Alexa crying on the cliff. Dumbledore's Next Mistake Yesterday afternoon, when the Hogwarts students went to Hogsmeade, Harry Potter and a newfound friend, Alexa Riddle went up to the mountains. What seemed to be a fun weekend, ended as a murederous day. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and his second in command, Salisha Riddle confronted Mr. Potter and Miss Riddle. Miss Riddle is the daughter of You-Know-Who and Salisha Riddle. You-Know-Who tried to kill Harry Potter for the fifth time but Alexa Riddle came to his rescue. Miss Riddle killed her parents, to save her friends, students, and the people of the world. Is Dumbledore making a mistake by having her there? Could Alexa Riddle be evil like her parents? Don Leskan, Daily Prophet Reporter "What do you think will be coming? Hate mail, mail saying thanks, or no mail at all?" Alexa said after she finished reading it. "Probably both. They'll be scared but glad. So I don't know." "I wonder where he got that picture." Alexa said. "I didn't see any people. Now I remember. I was sitting there, the memoriea going through my head, and I think I saw a flash. He must have been hiding in the trees." "Another Rita Skeeter" Harry said. Madam Pomfrey came over and told Alexa she could go. They all left and went outside to go to Hagrid's cabin but half way there, they saw the only thing that could make the day any worse. All of the Death Eaters and the dementors were coming from the Forbidden Forest.
