Can Anyone Commit The Unpardonable Sin Today?
by Frank LeDoux

Many dear Christians today are kept in fear and bondage by the failure of their leaders to rightly divide the Scriptures. They tell their listeners either directly, or by inference that they can commit the “unpardonable sin.” Many of these leaders do this that they may continue in their undispensational practices. Whatever their reasons, the fact remains, that today, under the Dispensation or Administration of the Grace of God, the only “unpardonable sin” is unbelief.

When the Lord Jesus Christ was here in the flesh, He was a minister of the circumcision, i.e., to the Jews, for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers, Romans 15:8. According to these promises, God was to and will bless the Gentiles instrumentally through the rise of the Nation of Israel, Genesis 12:1-3; Isaiah 60:1-3.

But before the Gentiles could be blessed, Israel as a Nation, had to be brought back into their covenant relationship with God. Thus, John the Baptist was sent by God to call the Nation of Israel to repentance through confession of their sins (transgressions of the covenant they had entered into at Mt. Sinai with God) and water baptism for the remission of their sins.

As we know the Nation through their leaders rejected the testimony of John the Baptist, allowing him to be beheaded, as while as the testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ, demanding for and having Him crucified, and neither did the Nation receive the testimony of His Twelve circumcised Apostles after His resurrection and ascension.

For in Acts 7 the leaders of the Nation committed the “unpardonable sin”, that the Lord Jesus had warned them about, Matthew 12:31-32, they stoned Stephen filled with the Holy Spirit! Therefore having rejected the counsel of God the Father through John the Baptist’s ministry, and the counsel of God the Son through His Earthly ministry, they NOW had rejected the counsel of God the Holy Spirit, thereby denying the Triune God.

We can see from the above, that today it would be impossible to commit the “unpardonable sin” the Lord Jesus spoke of in His earthly ministry to Israel. For God is not blessing the Gentiles instrumentally through the rise of the nation of Israel today, Romans 11:11-15. No, for today during this Dispensation of His Grace He is blessing individuals in every nation, who will receive His testimony concerning His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ as given to us through our Apostle, the Apostle Paul.

That testimony being: “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that rose again the third day according to the scriptures…” 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4. “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead be ye reconciled to God. For He hath made Him (Christ) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him”, 2 Corinthians 5:18-21.

Therefore dear Christian friend, don’t let any man’s word take precedence over THE WORD OF GOD, but rather search the Scriptures and see if these things are so, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage and fear.
