Other news today is more shennanigans within the Sex Pistols camp. Their manager Malcolm McLaren after agreeing by mutual consent with Glen Matlock that its in everyones interest that he leaves the band on friendly terms. But goes straight behind Matlocks back to the Music press with a completely different story via this telegram that was posted today (see below). It denounces Matlock and ushers in the arrival of Sid Vicious. Glen Matlock the scapegoat denies his Beatles devotion. He told Tony Parsons of the NME "It was a mutual agreement. I wanted to leave and they wanted me out." We all know Johnny didn't like Glen so he had to go whether he was pushed or not. Some feel this was the beginnng of the end for the band, but not before more hi-jinks in the coming year were to bring them to the attention of the world.
