Slaughter & The Dogs and The Beastly Cads play the Roxy tonight.
The
Beastly Cads feature Marco Pirronii (ex-Siouxsie And The Banshees) and Mick Allen in their line-up. They would soon change their name and become the Models who would get signed up to Step Forward Records later this year.

Meanwhile The Stranglers play Glasgow .Queen Margaret Uni.
The Police
Brand new band
The Police featuring Stewart Copeland on drums, Sting on bass and Henry Padovani on guitar go into Pathway Studios in Islington today to record their debut record 'Fall Out' / 'Nothing Achieving'.  It costs 'em £150. This is a band who ain't even played a gig yet! But if you've got a drummer squatting in a flat in Mayfair who has a brother who has plans on running his own record label then the chances are your gonna succeed where others may fail!
