A lot of crisis occurred and caused an interest in the information on bio-fuel, crop water requirement as well as flood tolerance in crops. This information can be found in journals in irrigation and crops production.
In this issue, there are three articles on post harvest technology from Maha Sarakham University as following: 1) use of 1-MCP to increase vase-life of sacred lotus, 2) use of 1-MCP to reduce durian’s smell, and 3) experiment on pandan leaf and kitchen mint leaf to reduce durian’s odour. Two articles on crop production (Effects of herbicide and seeding rates on growth and yield of no-tillage corn, and Effects of land preparation and fertilizer as soil management on corn yield grown on Lopburi Soil series) are contributed by Nakhon Sawan Field Crops Research Centre. The other article which is contributed by King Monkut’s Institute of Technology, Lat Krabang is Chemical control on aflatoxin production on maize.
