More than 90% of maize seed requirement in Thailand is hybrid seed which is about 40 million dollars per year of its cost.  Therefore: many private seed companies ,both local and mulinational, are involved in this business.  In order to protect Thai maize farmers from unfaithful company, Dr. parinya bought all hybrid cultivars which available in local market to test its performance compare to a popular cultivar in such locations.   Dissapan found that by-product from Monosodium glutamate factory are enrich in Nitrogen.  So, he use this by-product to replace other Nitrogen source for maize and sorghum fertilization.  At the same time, Tasnee and co-worker study yield revenue and optimum Nitrogen rate for single cross maize on various soils.
