Banded leaf and sheath blight of corn caused by Rhizoctonia solani

Banded leaf and sheath blight affected on plant parts i.e. leaf, leaf sheath, stem and ear. The pathogen from 8 locations were isolated and identified as Rhizoctonia solani. In addition, two isolated soils from 40 percent infected corn area were identified as Rhizoctonia solani as well and infected soils were 3.2 and 1.2 percent colonization.
