LETTER from the EDITOR
In the last issue (volume 2, issue 2), at first, there were 4 papers were considered for published, but due to shortage of budget for publishing and number of pages available, then, finally there were only two papers were selected for published. The editor would like to express his sincere apology to all the authors of papers those are not be published in the last issue. But as a promise, all the papers will be published soon in this FCRI Bulletin in the next following issues when the space is available.
Since, the editor and the whole editorial team are changed, We would like to take this opportunity to change the name of this FCRI Information to be the FCRI Bulletin, to make it more professional. The volume and issue number will be continued from the FCRI Information. The editorial team wish that, this change will not make our reader confuse.
In this issue, contain a report from FCRI Director on the progression of FCRI under his leading. Also, a soil improvement by using green manure is reported by our colleague, Mr. Ian Grange, from Mahidol University. Furthermore, a trainee from AMTC (Asian Maize Training Centre) training programme Which is sponsor by the government of Thailand, CIMMYT, and ADB also report about his finding when he has an opportunity to interviewed some Thai maize farmers about their maize production and their constraint in producing maize at Phop Phra district in TAK province, which is along the border between the kingdom of Thailand and the Union of Myanmar. Unfortunately, there are still some interesting papers for published but the space is not available, then, these papers will gradually be published in the next following issues.
