Dreams

Turn your head away from the sun.
The stars cast shadows on her ceiling
As the moon pours through the blinds.
He'd give his mind for a taste of this time,
But his sweat is wrapping circles making
Excuses for this kind of longing.
She sleeps in grace; comfort under her covers
Thinking about dogs and fish in all kinds of colors,
Pillows under her head, socks on her feet
Baby can you imagine this kind of dream?

Dreaming about a dream.

Walk through the isles of the marketplace.
Check the fellow with shades on his eyes.
He's thinking about if he could only make a fix
With the doll in the line with 16 things,
Make a hook up in the freezer
Where they make cucumbers cool and
Store yogurt and all other dairy food.
He gives her a wink, she smacks his behind,
Before they know it they're getting the grind
Like a lion on the side of the stand where
The vendor gives samples of juice.
10 minutes, walk away,
No one calls the next day,
Once in a lifetime chance that'll never
Fade away or be forgotten.

Dreaming about a dream.

While the shadows went cold the
Hour’s thoughts ran away,
A lover's fingernails were stolen only to
Be found the next day. Pencils scribble new words
Always saying the same things,
But some surprises erupt when the night time is happening.
I'd give the skin off my arm if you
Needed it bad, I'd find a way to trade the world
For another moment of that.
Follow my heart to the sunset where I'll
Give it away, hand in had all I know
Is that it will all be ok.
For now cries to smiles and
Tears to laughter, whatever it's called it
Doesn't really matter.
Lend me a grin you know I'll give you a hug,
Whatever happens babe you can have
All of my love.

Dreaming about a dream.
