Confused and convoluted
Muddled puddle of bubbles
opaque, perfect light-intake
pristine, consistent green
Trapped in rapidly rising quicksand
tugging from all sides and under
downward application of torque and tension
dogged and deadly
dragging me down as I go readily
Millions of images that surround without sound
silent symphony of dying epiphanies
under an unblemished blue sky
marines in oiled aerial machines fly by
roaring wave of perpetual blaze
devours herds of migrant birds
Aviate lazily at the stars
parallel paths to the peregrine
premier airborne above the earth
Chilling in God’s Kingdom
roosting and rookeries on Mt. Olympus
Soaring above Himalayan zeniths and Andean behemoths
seeing clear, dismissing fear
floating ecstasy
uninhibited and free
nomads circumventing rooted trees
and never coming down
to the confused and convoluted ground.
