My name is Megan and Iam Michele's daughter. I decided to update my mom's page since she has many netfriends who are wondering where she has been and how she is doing.
My mom has MS and my dad and I have learned that we never know what to expect with this disease. On January 6, no one could have made us ready for what it did to my mom. The past few months, my mom had been under alot of stress since the house flooded. She tried hard to have the house put back together intime for christmas. Her headaches got worse and worse.
January 6 something happened to her. She lost her memory of many things and people. My dad took her to the drs to see what was up. Meanwhile she had fallen many times (nothing new for her). The dr ordered a bunch of tests to see what was wrong with my mom. (blood tests, mri,eeg) He thinks it is due to the falls and possibly a brain injury or maybe my mom has had a stroke.
My mom has always been my bestfriend. Now I watch her and although she's my mom, she's more like a little sister now. Dad says she has the mentality of a 10-12 year old. We have to teach her things all over again like how to take care of herself, who people are, what words mean (some swear words she's picked up from watching movies)and we make sure there are things she can't do when no one is home. No cooking, dont leave the house and simple rules so she doesnt get hurt. She doesnt drive anymore either because she doesnt know where she lives.
I will try to keep her page up to date as much as I can but with helping my dad out and school it might take awhile. If you want more information, her best friend is Miss J (Doll) and she knows whats going on too.
Iam teaching her slowly about the internet and computers. She is playing Yahoo! bingo sometimes. It helps her learn her numbers and match things. She likes it alot. lol
The dr says she should recover in time. I dont know how much time. I do know that I want my mom back! (and you miss her too Iam sure)
