2004   International Actress award at the press announcement April 22, 2004 Fann gets Street Fest award Mediacorp artist Fann Wong is pictured with the Best International Actress award at the press announcement for the 3rd Singapore Street Festival at the National Youth Park in Somerset Road. She received the award yesterday from the Minister of State for Trade and Industry and National Development Vivian Balakrishnan, who was the guest of honour. The award was bestowed by the festival organizers, the non-profit Singapore Street Festival. It recognises her contributions to the entertainment industry here. The festival aims at getting youths to showcase their talents in the street shows. It opens on May 29 with performances along Orchard Road by Singapore first belly-dancing troupe, featuring students and teachers from school here. The first mega hafla, or a party for belly dancers and ethnic musicians, will be held on June 12 at the Youth Park. The festival ends on June 13 with a ceremony to honour contributors to the Singapore entertainment scene. Source: The Straits Times
