Believe it or not, Fann is quite the diet queen PROTEIN DIET, CARBOHYDRATE DIET, APPLE DIET, FAT-BLOCKING PILL SHE has a towering 1.7m frame but weighs only a measly 50kg. Fann Wong is lucky she does not get blown away by the wind when walking down the street. Yet, it seems that the MediaCorp Ah Jie (big sister) still wants to lose weight and even needs help doing it. She has just been unveiled as the spokesman for the new slimming product, Xando Tablets, pills that presumably blocks calories and fats. At the press conference to launch the product, Fann was earnestly telling reporters that she has her 'fat' days too, like the rest of us. She said: 'You always see the best side of me, when I'm at my ideal weight. But when I'm not, I go into hiding so you don't get to see me that way!' BLAME IT ON FILMING IN CHINA Apparently, Fann - who spends a large part of the year filming in China - has been putting on weight every time she returns to Singapore. 'The weather is very cold in China, so we tend to eat a lot more, and the food is oilier. But because of the physical exertion during filming, it doesn't affect my weight. 'Back in Singapore, I don't do as much work, but I still continue eating as much as I did in China so my weight goes up.' And even though it's only a negligible 2kg increment, Fann insists she can feel the difference. She knows she's underweight, but prefers it that way. 'I like to feel light. If I gain weight, I find it more difficult to walk up the stairs.' She then clarified: 'As artistes, we have to present the very best of us to the audience, so it's our discipline to look good.' Fann claimed she has tried many slimming methods before, including protein diets, carbohydrate diets, and even an apple diet. But she has never found the right one, as they either gave her heart palpitations or made her cranky. And there is one pill that Fann is in no hurry to try again. Cringing at the memory, Fann said: 'It was only my first time taking the pill. I was on the way to a photoshoot. When I got out of my car, I saw a stain on my car seat. 'Immediately, I called up my stylist and told him that I had to go home to change my clothes. I never took the pill again!' She would not say who passed her the fat-blocking pill, and claimed she has forgotten the details about the embarassing side effects that ensued. Fann admitted to having been tempted by the Slim 10 pill too, but was too busy to get anyone to buy it for her. But isn't she wary of slimming pills, after all that has happened? 'I was. Which was why I spoke with reBorne (the company behind Xando) beforehand and did my research. But because Xando is an all-natural product, I feel very safe.' Now that she's down to 50kg, which she is quite happy with, Fann wants to maintain her weight and not lose more. She even has plans to recommend the pill to her rumoured boyfriend Christopher Lee. Smiling sweetly, she said: 'He also puts on weight whenever he comes back from China, so he'll definitely want to try the pill. I'm sure he will ask me for some!' Source: The New Paper |
