| Welcome to the Welt Weekend website. Since the mid nineties, John Welt has been organizing this outing the last full weekend in August. It has grown from 8 to 24 golfers filling the entire upper motel. The golf course is always an adventure from the undulating greens and elevation changes to strategically placed water hazards and risk-reward decisions. After dinner and a beer or two, it's cards on the patio or maybe a chipping or putting contest under the lights. By Saturday afternoon, a dip in the pool or a little time in the hot tub to relax is a nice option. Then, it's back to the course for more golf. A scramble always makes for some friendly competition and some amazing shots, like going over the trees and attacking the green on #5. After Sunday's round, one last meeting in the parking lot to go over all the great golf and good times that took place over the weekend. |
