Some magical powers are attributed to this animal, as the power to detect impurity and to neutralised poisons. Some legends say that his horn represent the sword of God. In India, the sword can separate polluted waters.
Only a virgin can move near a unicorn. Middle-Ages stories say that unicorn's hunters always brought a virgin in the forest with them. Unicorns, attracted by her purity, came near and fell asleep on her knees. Then, hunters only had to kill the animal.
  Always seen as the purest symbol, only a few people know that the unicorn is also an important symbol of strength.
