F4's Vanness Wu will be starring in a new movie, "Shao Nian A Hu." Filming had to be pushed back as a result of the SARS situation. Vanness, himself, also pushed back the date to go to Hong Kong, afraid of catching SARS. The company lost millions of dollars because of all the delays. They offered a 5-star hotel for the leading stars to stay, plus hired a personal doctor for them as a precaution. After all the headaches, Vanness' and the female lead, Jing Yan Ju's manager, have agreed to arrive in Hong Kong on June 11. Filming will start before June 15, 2003. The two will be filming there for 2 months. When asked if the personal doctor was hired to mainly protect Vanness' life, the company's Miss Lu answered that the doctor was hired for everyone. She said that the main cast will have many fighting scenes and injuries will happen. Having a doctor around will be very useful in case any of the stars get hurt. (Sing Tao Daily-May 29, 2003)

Zai Zai, Vic Chou recently had to stop going to class because a teacher in his school had contracted SARS. Not long after, a member of Vic's filming crew had a high fever (a symptom of SARS) and was asked to go home to rest. As a result of this, filming of Taiwan's "Kuang Ai Long Juan Feng" (In Love With Tornado) had to be delayed just to be safe. Everyone took careful precautions. They all wore surgical masks whenever they were filming outside. Unfortunately, the actors and actresses couldn't wear the masks during filming, but under his mother's constant remindings; Zai Zai's mask never leaves his side. The playful Zai Zai tends to put on his mask and ask his crew member if they could guess who he was. On the other hand, Ken Chu was more serious about the matter. He had just returned to Taiwan after filming in Shanghai. Zai Zai and Vanness asked him to come out for a meeting with them, but he refused to meet with them until after 10 days. Ken doesn't want to take any chances and wanted to make sure that he doesn't have SARS before he met with them. Ken and Zai Zai were very worried about their sick crew member. They were finally relieved to hear that the sick crew member's fever had gone down. There were many problems during filming for "Kuang..." Earlier, the leading lady, Vivian Hsu, was injured and is currently staying home to rest. Vivian stayed in Japan for a long time, so her Mandarin is not very good. She kept calling Xiao Tian, Xiao (Laughing) Tian, making Vic laugh. (Sing Tao Daily-May 9, 2003)

As a result of his "Dao Ming Si" character, Jerry has become very popular in China. His newest commercial have just been released, and his clothes and shoes are now a trademark for girls' there as an ideal boyfriend look. A Jerry's China Fan Club even had a quarrel with others on the net on behalf of whether F4 was or was not going to have a concert in Beijing. Girls made-up their boyfriends to look like Jerry. His hair ad promoted the products so much, they are now very popular in many beauty salons. Jerry saw his own ad and thought that it was very unique. But, he felt that it looked more like a coffee ad rather than an ad for hair products. Jerry's look is not only becoming the "ideal look" amongst his fans, even some singers are starting to image themselves to look like Jerry as well. (Lian He Bao-October 2, 2002)

F4 are Billionaires? As of now, they are not yet. But...they might be in the future. Because F4 have been in so many commercials lately, the misunderstanding of them becoming Billionaires have been spread. Their manager explained that this was not true. The money have been equally given to all 4 members along with all the other spendings, F4 could only be called 10 Millionaires. They were 1 Millionaires last year, so there is a big difference since then. Although they have earned quite a lot of money, they are pretty much living the same lives as before. Jerry just bought a house and is currently still paying for it. Vic bought a second-hand BMW. As for Ken and Vanness, they both spent their money mostly on musical stuff such as stereos, instruments, etc. (Lian He Bao-September 29, 2002)

Vanness was in Hong Kong to celebrate the Mid-Autumn (Moon) Festival as well as his autograph session for his album "Body Will Sing," which 8,000 fans attended. He gave a small concert which attracted 6,000 fans. As a result of the big turnout, at least 200 bodyguards had to be present. The mini concert cost about $1,300,000. Vanness came out blowing kisses and thanking all his fans for their support. In Cantonese...he said, "I love you" to everyone, especially since they still came in the rainy weather. In Mandarin, he said that he would rather it be himselt being drenched in the rain than his fans. His fans went crazy from his sweet words. During the concert, Vanness threw his cowboy hat, T-shirt, etc. down the stage causing a bunch of fans to fight for them. There was also a "Tongue Twister" game with the kids. Since his Cantonese wasn't that good, a fan yelled out to him in Mandarin "Da Bai Chi (big dummy)." He didn't get mad but instead, agreed that he was a "Da Bai Chi." Speaking of MG II, reporters asked Vanness would they stop filming this series, because Barbie Hsu's schedule is too busy. Vanness answered that Barbie will definitely continue filming, since Shan Cai is the main character. (Wen Wei Po-September 23, 2002)

The concert was suppose to take place during 2:30 p.m., but Vanness was an hour late. To make it up, he arrived blowing kisses to his fans. He greeted his fans in Cantonese, "I just arrived last night and saw a bunch of fans standing out in the rain. Hearing thunder sounds, I wished that it was me standing in the rain instead of my fans." He brought 6 dancers with him, and fireworks were released twice. Vanness even jumped down the stage to be closer to his fans, playing games as well as hugging and kissing little children. The funniest part was during the "Tongue-Twister" game which Vanness had to say, "One dollar a chicken, one dollar a turtle" in Cantonese. Vanness couldn't say it, so someone yelled out that he was a "Da Bai Chi" meaning big dummy. Vanness didn't mind and agreed that he was. Afterwards, he RAP in English and the fans applauded. At the end of this year, F4 will be throwing a concert in Hong Kong. Would you believe that the healthy, athletic, muscular-bodied Vanness use to be 220 pounds when he was young?
