News of F4 opening concerts during February of next year have leaked out to the media. The concert would take place in Malaysia during Valentine's Day (2-14-2003). F4's manager company immediately denied the whole thing, saying that this was all a rumor. Vanness currently released his first solo album "Body Will Sing," and he was recently overseas doing promotions for it. The other 3 members are busy filming "MG II" during this time. Their company, Comic, was getting a big headache, knowing how many fans were wishing to see F4 in concert; which was not possible at the moment as a result of their busy schedules. Rumors of F4 performing in Malaysia next year made it even worst. Comic explained that the Malaysia concert was all a rumor, and they wondered where these reporters got the news. Also, news of F4 opening concerts in Beijing was not real as well, asking fans not to believe in such rumors. (Sing Bao-September 3, 2002)

In order for Vanness to promote his solo album, his company had to take-off some time away from "MG II" so that he could prepare. The outgoing Vanness accepted Ma Bu Ting's busy work schedule for him. Vanness would be going to Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia to promote his album. The company was afraid that he wouldn't be able to film "MG II" as a result of his upcoming busy schedule, so they decided to film F3's part first, letting Vanness to go overseas to do his gig. His manager knew that Vanness wanted to enter into Hollywood, so they went to Beijing and Hollywood for negotiations ahead of time. After seeing Vanness' picture, Bill Badalato thought that Vanness would be the perfect person to star as the young Genghis Khan. After he heard the news, Vanness said: "I thought my eyes were too small ever since I was young. I never thought that my single-layered eyes would actually be the reason that I would be picked to star on-screen." (Sing Tao Daily-September 1, 2002)

During his second day in Hong Kong for his promotion of his first solo album, Vanness disagreed that his company had the slight favoritism towards him. He stated that the company was fair to all the members of F4. Half a hundreds fans filled the airport screaming "Body Will Sing" to comply with his album's title. After his 15-minutes thrill on the helicopter, Vanness enjoyed the feeling of being on a roller-coaster. The pilot didn't want to take any chance of endangering him, so they had to land soon after. There were earlier plans for Vanness to go try out the famous Pineapple Bun, but the plan was cancelled because 200 fans were following him. There was also a taxi accident as a result of all his fans. At about 6 p.m., Vanness took the boat to the island to eat seafood. Some fans even rented boats ahead of time just so that they could follow him there. It was totally out of control. (Sing Tao Daily-August 29, 2002)

F4's Vanness Wu recently went to Hong Kong for 2 days to promote his first solo album. Almost a hundred fans waited at the airport for his arrival, very early in the morning. Many fans waited with gifts, while some even rented taxi cabs, ready for chasing after him. In the afternoon, Vanness attracted over 2000 fans for his MV program. "I love you all and thank you for your support," Vanness said to his fans while blowing kisses to them; causing them to scream out, crazily. The host played a joke on Vanness, saying that the editing for his MV was not completed; so Vanness would have to stay an extra night, scaring Vanness. "Body Will Sing" has been released for 2 weeks and has already received Gold, giving Vanness a big boost of confidence. When asked if there were any words of encouragement from F3, he answered by saying "They told me not to tell cold jokes, which are jokes that are not funny." Regarding his earlier leg injury, he said that it was much better; but last time he had to get an injection plus take some medicine. When asked about him being in "The Young Genghis Khan," he replied that his company was currently in negotiation about it. He laughed that perhaps the reason he was chosen was because of his singled-layered eyes. After the program, he attended an interview as well as a ribbon-cutting for a well-known shop. Vanness Wu enters the music business. His single-layed eyes gives him more of an Oriental feel, getting the attention and vote from a producer, Bill Badalato. Working on both his solo album and "MG II" 2nd group album, the sunny personality Vanness accepts his heavy work load from his manger, who gets a headache planning all of them for him. Vanness will be going to Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia to promote his solo album. The crew for "MG II" decided to film all of the F3's film first so that Vanness could leave to do the promotions. Earlier, his manager went to manager to set up everything for him. A director, Jiang Yi Pang, saw Vanness' picture and thought that he would make a great young Gengis Khan for his new TV series "Genghis Khan." This was all because of his nice, slanted oriental eyes. Vanness laughed, "I always thought that my eyes were too small ever since I was very young. Who would have thought that I would be picked to star in a film because of my eyes." F4's Vanness Wu is currently in Taiwan promoting his first solo album "Body Will Sing." As a result of his busy work schedule, he was only able to attend a TV program. Since it was a live TV program, the timing wasn't very good so Vanness ended up with merely a short interview with Chang Xiao Yan. He did attend another program "Wo Chai Wo Chai Wo Chai Chai Chai" where they picked a pretty girl to co-star with him in his "Because I Love You Too Much" MV. He also had a chance to meet Esther Kwan from Hong Kong, and he politely stated that he has watched her TV series before. (Sing Tao Daily-August 21, 2002)

F4's Jerry was seen eating with a model in Taiwan. The two of them were very intimate, he was spooning food for her and she for him; talking and laughing. They looked very good together. Jerry explained that the female model was one of his good friends from his old modeling days. "We are like brothers. Whenever she breaks up with her boyfriend, she'll tell me all about it. She is a great girl, but we've been friends for too long; so it would be hard for us to be a couple." Jerry stated that lately, he does want to have a girlfriend but made it clear that neither Da S nor Michelle Saram from "MG II" would be right. Work could be very stressful some times, and it would be nice if there was someone for him to talk to. As for Vic Chou, his girlfriend decided to switch her work place in order to get away from the media, not wanting to affect Zai Zai's work. (Qiao Bao-August 19, 2002)

After the release of Vanness' first solo album, F4 will once again be releasing their 2nd group album to match "MG II." As a result of their busy schedules filming "MG II" along with all their other activities, they have been delaying the recording. But lately, the completion of the recording for Vanness' solo album "Body Will Sing," they've managed to make time for the group recording. Earlier, Sony's producer fell sick so recording had to come to a halt. Now that he has recovered, they could be back on schedule and continue on. Jerry told the producer not to worry and that his health was more important. Being the male lead in "MG II," Bao Lung finally has some free time to practice for their recording perhaps taking place on October. Their second album won't be released until "MG II" comes out. Being his first solo concert, Vanness was so nervous that he consecutively dreamt twice about himself performing in his concert the night before. Luckily, both his concerts in real life and in his dreams went smoothly. As a result of this, Vanness said, "It feels like I've performed 3 concerts." After a successful concert performance, Vanness was so happy that he and the crew broke out the Champagne to celebrate. His mother, younger brother and sister joined in the celebration. Vanness exposed that his little sister was a big fan of Zai Zai. When she met Zai Zai in person backstage, her outgoing personality suddenly disappeared. When Zai Zai talked to her, she couldn't speak a word back in return. Vanness laughed, "I never thought that my sister would be like this." Vanness was so busy preparing for the concert earlier, he didn't have a chance to spend much time with his family. His good friend, Ken Chu took the honor of being the "good son and good elder brother" to accompany them. He took them to lunch, tour around, plus bought them presents...making Vanness very touched. (Xing Bao-August 15, 2002)

MUCH TV's "Much Game" shot their scene at HINET 2002 Games Competition. They even invited F4's Ken to play the CS games. Ken said that he haven't played it for while. He didn't want to lose and embarrass himself, so he trained himself a few days earlier. Ken was very good in playing games. One time, he stayed up 2 nights just to get the highest score on the game. While filming "MG," he always went with Zai Zai and Vanness to play CS games at an online cafe. However, they have been so busy this year, there was no time to play. Although Ken have forgotten alot of the techniques, he still managed to win his opponents. His fans showed up to support him. (Lian He Bao-August 10, 2002)
