F4 crew were warned ahead of time about Spain not being a very safe place. Zai Zai said that he was with Jerry, Ken, Vanness, Michelle, etc...at the time. They were eating while enjoying the romantic scenery there, when he felt kind of strange. His bag, which was carrying his camera, his cell phone, journal and wallet appeared to be moving. He turned to look and realized that a robber had just stolen his bag and was on the run. Vanness saw what was happening and immediately chased after the thief. Vanness managed to catch the guy, and he returned Vic's bag with no struggle. After talking it over, the crew and them decided not to report the robber to the police and no charges were pressed. Other than Vanness, the rest of the crew couldn't get use to Spain's hot weather and salty, sour, strong food. The crew brought 5 boxes of instant noodle along with lots of snacks. Jerry ate noodles everyday. Some fans there asked them for autographs. Jerry reminded them: Don't forget about our new photo album. We will be there to sign autographs plus give away some free things. (Sing Tao Daily-July 14, 2002)

Zai Zai was a poor prince in Spain. Couldn't believe that Zai Zai brought almost everything with him except money, during his filming in Spain. His crew freaked out when they heard about this. Zai Zai said: I have you guys. No need to be scared. Vic had flown back from Spain already. Usually, he loves to travel to different places, but this time...he was in Spain for more than 10 days for the filming of MG II. He can't speak a word of Spanish, and his English isn't good neither. At the hotel, he was hungry and wanted to order some fried chicken. He couldn't because of the language barrier. At that moment, he realized that he missed his home. After returning to Taiwan, he said: Taiwan is great. I can get fried chicken when I want it. Although he is famous across the Asian population, his lifestyle is still the same as any other college student. Not only that he didn't have money when in Spain, he didn't even use his cell phone while he was there. This was because he saw his crew members spending so much money just to call back to Taiwan. He missed home, but he didn't call wanting to save money. (Sing Tao Daily-July 14, 2002)

Lately, many companies want to use the rapidly rising stars, F4 to do commercials for their products such as Pepsi Cola, Disney's "Lilo & Stitch," etc. Even Baleno, a clothing brand name, will be giving away F4's VCD for customers. When fans heard that the clothing store will be giving away F4's "Lilo & Stitch" VCD, fans started lining up for it 27 hours before the event. Reporters asked the fans if they were afraid that the same thing that happened during F4's last autograph session will happen again (the reporter is referring to the fights). Unexpectedly, the fans answered: That person that got beat up last time was me...but nothing happened last night. "Doesn't your family cared for your safety?" the reporter asked. The fan answered: My mother treats me very nicely. She even helps me cut out clippings of F4. 300 fans showed up on the day of the giveaway, mostly young females. There was no trouble that day, perhaps because there were police officers all around. That clothing should thank F4 for the great turnout. F4's manager said that F4 will be representing Baleno for sure. Andy Lau, the original representer will still be there, untouched. They even asked Andy to film a new commercial for them currently. F4's Zai Zai couldn't take the stress and secretly handed in the form to dismiss him from school. His manager and F3 didn't know of the matter beforehand. Zai Zai left before taking the exams on June 25th. Other than being too busy, reporters realized that there could be other reasons for his leave. The school's environment could be another facter why this big star would take off. Reporters went to check out his university and found trash thrown everywhere. Although, the janitors were suppose to clean up everyday, reporters still saw trash lying all over the hallways and classrooms. Currently in Spain filming "MG II," Vic felt very depressed. Seeing how bothered Vic was about his leave from school, Jerry went out and bought a bottle of Spain's red wine to treat them. Drunk, Zai Zai finally spilled all about why he wanted to stop his schooling. "I feel like an animal trapped in a cage," Vic said. "Once...I felt someone staring at me the whole night." (Vic's class was at night) "No matter if I was in class or at home...I always feel like someone was secretly filming me. I have no privacy. No freedom. I'm very upset." Fans were always waiting for Vic outside of his school. Some even chased him to his class, while others came looking for him when he was in class. Some fans even left love letters on his table, making him very embarrassed. Since he didn't have any of his crew with him during class, his fans tend to grab on to him unwilling to let go. Some fans even gave his classmate cameras to record his every move. But what upset him the most was his fans constantly hitting him on the head and touching his face. Troubled by his fans' excessive dedication to him, Zai Zai said, "If I quit the business one of these days, it would be because I no longer want to be hit on the head." Male citizens of Taiwan have to go for army training at the age of 20 unless they were attending school. Since Vic's mother wanted him to continue with his education, plus F4 didn't want to separate; Zai Zai have decided to go retake the entrance exam in order to return to school. His manager didn't schedule any additional work for him after "MG II" so that he could study for his re-entrance's exam next month. (Sing Tao Daily-July 5, 2002)

Currently in Spain filming "MG II," one of F4's members, Vic Chou have announced a leave-of-absence from school. Even the other members, F3 didn't know of the news until it happened. Vic's manager kept it a secret not wanting to cause anymore stress to Zai Zai. As the 'big-brother' of F4, Jerry went out and bought a bottle of Spain's red wine to share with them. F3 told Zai Zai to take their current filming as a vacation and relax. Zai Zai was very touched and promised them that he would take half a year off of school; but he would continue on with his education the following semester. Zai Zai needed to take a break from school, because he physically just couldn't keep up with his busy schedule. Plus, his fans were continuously showing up at his school, giving him a great deal of stress. He planned to work this half a year and then focus on his education later. (Sing Tao Daily-July 4, 2002)

F4 all grew up in singled-parent families. Vanness was one of the luckier ones, because he has a great mother. His parents divorced and his mother immigrated to the United States to start her Health and Beauty business. Vanness was always on the plane, flying back and forth from parent to parent. It was pretty sad for someone so young to wait at the airport all alone. Now grown-up, Vanness still get a bit sadden when speaking of his past. Zai Zai had a wonderful childhood, since his parents divorce when he was at an older age of 19. Vic's personality was always very playful. He loved attention and enjoyed laughing. He got the humor from his mother and the quiet side of him was inherited from his father. He lived with his mother, while his elder brother was with his father. His mother never stop him from having a good relationship with his dad, so he continued to grow up happily. "Bao Lung," Jerry had the hardest childhood. His father died when he was very young. Seeing the hardship his mother had raising him and his little sister, he started working at a very young age. His mother is very proud of him, seeing his success right now...meaning his hardwork had paid off. Ken's parents separated when he was very young. His mother decided to go to Thailand to establish her career, and left him and his younger brother and sister in Singapore. Ken and his siblings stayed in Singapore for 10 years. One time, he didn't receive his mother's money through the mail, and ended up having nothing to eat for 3 days and nights; crying in bed. At the age of 16, Ken's whole family returned to Taiwan. His mother's health wasn't good, so he had to support his entire family's expenses. He had to work 3 different jobs while tackling school at the same time. As a result, he got Asthma at a very tender age. (The Epoch Times-June 29, 2002)

F4's Anniversary Book have only been released for 3 days, they already have order request from all over the Asian populations, including Thailand to Phillipine. Currently, 200,000 copies, selling way more than Jerry's earlier pictorial book. This can only proof that F4 has to stay together, forever, in order to do well. The 4 guys didn't seem to take it seriously, laughing, joking and playing SM games. (Sing Tao Daily-June 28, 2002)

Taiwan's "Ba Da" film company will start filming "XianNu You Hun," which was originally suppose to star Vic as the male lead. Because of the slow response from Zai Zai's manager, they had to find someone else to play the character. Alec Su, from "Returning of Pearl Princess," will be replacing Vic. Alec said that he doesn't mind being the replacement, as long as the role is a challenging one. He plans to negotiate with the director to add some humor to the series to make it more interesting. (Sing Tao Daily-June 27, 2002)

Gigi Leung's new album is selling very well. Her music company decides to give away 3 of her MTVs with the purchase of her CD as a promotion. One of them, "Flower Vase Chicken Soup," stars F4's handsome hunk, Ken Chu. (Sing Tao Daily-June 27, 2002)

F4 tend to share their clothing. During the filming of "MG II," F4 had to prepare for their own wardrobe, giving them such a headache. Jerry was the first to go to Spain for filming, meeting with the massive laid-off there, he and the crew were stuck at Germany's airport overnight. 4 suitcases of wardrobe were lost. Luckily, Jerry's suitcase followed him closely, or else his whole wardrobe would have be gone as well. Vic, Ken, and Vanness will be joining Jerry there soon, but their clothes have to be prepared once again. Because of the temperature differences, it would be hard to do so. The 3 were told to buy additional wardrobes out of their own pockets. (Sing Tao Daily-June 25, 2002)
