"Meteor Garden" made F4 famous, so they decided to film "MG II." This time, they hired a well-known director, who was known for his high expectations. Still new to the entertainment business, F4 and Da S (Barbie Hsu) had to suffer through his perfectionism. Earlier, they planned to go to Paris to film during the month of April, but the director decided to change their destination to Spain instead. They should be going there in June, so "MG II" probably wouldn't be completed on it's original release date (Summer). They're not even half way done with the series, yet. F4's Vic suffered the most so far. Even though his role "Hua Ze Lei" is a quiet character, he's one of the leading roles. During a hot, April day, Zai Zai had to film a "going on and off a bridge" scene. What should only be a 30-seconds clip, took them the whole, entire day to film. Vic had to walk up and down the steps more than 30 times. He was so tired, he was crying for help. Also, his mandarin pronunciation wasn't very good, so he had lots of NG. No wonder he was complaining to his friends about his hardship filming this series. Jerry no longer had to worry about the other actors being late to work, because the director would lecture them for doing so. Once, Da S was late only 20 minutes, because they had to work late the night before. Even Jerry understood and forgave her...but the director still yelled at her. He told her that she should be more responsible, because her lateness ruins it for the rest of the cast members. The director even laughed and joked in front of the crew, saying that she was a "Fat Shan Cai." Vanness, who was usually very outgoing, also suffered as well. He grew up in the States, so he was very Americanize so nothing really bothered him. Yet, the director managed to find his weak point...which was his hair. He really cherished his long, silky hair and was extremely upset when the director made him cut off a few inches of it. Vanness lost control and hid at home for nearly 2 days, crying. Other than that, the director requested that F4 should dress properly when they were in the public eye. Ken Chu joked that they have to put out their own money (to buy brand names) just in order to work. (Sing Tao Daily-June 9, 2002)

Jerry didn't have such a good childhood. "Meteor Garden" made him famous, yet he still couldn't believe the fame he was receiving; saying that he didn't have much confidence in himself. He even mentioned that he wasn't very good with socializing with others. He especially hated being misunderstood by a particular magazine saying that he was rude to "so-and-so" celebrity. He didn't like bad rumors spreading, since he was working hard each day, filming, singing and dance practice. The reporter asked him was his personality always like this, or had he turned this way after entering into the entertainment business. Jerry answered by saying that he was a person who liked to take care of other people's business. His friends always thought of him as a tough, straight forward person; and he was sometimes very bored of it. When asked about his relationship with his mother, he replied by saying that he tend to treat her like a little sister. Actually, he made her feel young by the way he treated her. His mother's health wasn't very good, and he wanted to take her to the doctors; but she refused to. Why? Well, they were very poor when he was young and couldn't afford paying for medical bills. That was why they tend to fear hospitals and still do. When asked about what age he had to start working, his eyes began to tear up. He answered that he had to work when he was in 5th grade. His grades were very good, and he was always the leader of the class. His childhood was entirely consumed by school and work. Thinking about his childhood, he didn't want to go back to it. He only wanted to make lots of money, fast, so that he could give his family a better life. When asked about his big-sister romance with Karen Mok, he immediately replied that he didn't purposely like to date older woman. His number one requirement for a girlfriend was for her to be "Xiao Xuan." He currently doesn't want to look for a girlfriend, because he no longer wanted to play games. Instead, he was searching for a wife, who he only has to date for a short while. Anyways, he plans to focus on his work first and doesn't plan to get married any time soon. F4's, Vic Chou and Ken Chu were suppose to take "Hua Hang" plane...one going from Taiwan to Hong Kong, while the other returning to Taiwan from Hong Kong. There were some problems with the planes, so both of them switched to "Guo Tai (Cathay)" airline. Zai Zai was suppose to attend a program in Hong Kong that day. When news of the crash was reported, his fans were very worried about him, thinking that their idol (Vic) was on that plane. They all gave out a sigh of relief when Vic's manager informed them that Zai Zai was okay; he was going to take the second flight to Hong Kong the next day. Zai Zai took a "Cathay" plane instead, and the Music Company explained that the only reason for the switch was because of his busy schedule, having to return to Taiwan quickly. After hearing the news about the crash, Zai Zai immediately phoned home to tell them that he was safe. Ken also was suppose to take "Hua Hang" plane back to Taiwan, but he ended up switching to "Cathay" the next day as well. His manager explained that the only reason for the switch was because Ken was too tired; but the "Hua Hang" plane crash should have something to do with it. Another young, rising star, Peter Ho, constantly had to fly back and forth on "Hua Hang" because of his work. His manager had to insure him with $20,000,000 insurance in order to get him on the plane. (Sing Tao Daily-June 2, 2002)

In "Meteor Garden," Shan Cai (Da S) has a crush on Hua Ze Lei (Zai Zai), but she didn't end up with him in the end. Well, they will have another chance to be together once again, in a new television series "XianNu You Hun." Perhaps, this time...the two will get to be together. (Yes-May 31, 2002)

F4 is so famous, almost everyone wants them to star in their series. Even a film company in Da Long wants them to be in their year's top series, "Shuang _ _ Dao Ke." This is another series after "Tian Long Ba Bu" that will cost over $10,000,000 to make. Filming should start in August. They feel that these 4 tall, handsome guys (F4) would be perfect for the roles. Since F4 have never been in an ancient series before, it would definitely be a very fresh idea. Will F4 accept filming? During the month of August...other than filming MG II, F4 is planning to tour around the world and perform concerts. Due to their busy schedules, it would be hard for them to be in this series unless they could be in two places at once. But it isn't the end until the fat lady sings, so there's always a chance that they will be in the series. (Yes-May 31, 2002)

Speaking of working with Gigi Leung, Ken feels that she is a very high-classed person. He was very happy to have had a chance to work with her. In return, Gigi said that Ken's smile was very attractive. She wanted to take him on a tour around Hong Kong in order to get to know him better. Yet, she was afraid of the reporters seeing them together, so she decided to wait until next time. Perhaps, she'll have a chance to get better acquainted with him when she visits Taiwan in the future. (Yes-May 31, 2002)

Zai Zai risked his life in order to see his idol, Andy Lau. There was something wrong with the "Hua Hang" airplane that he was suppose to be on, but he didn't give up. He immediately switched airlines so that he could still make it to see Andy. Seeing him so determined, TVB gave Vic a VIP room as well as a Car Park secret passway for him to get in and out freely. Unfortunately, Andy did not show up for the program, and Vic was kind of disappointed. He had to fly back to Taiwan that night, so TVB allowed him to leave in the back parking lot. Luckily, Vic spotted Andy at the parking lot and immediately ran over to greet his idol. The sad, disappointed expression on his face turned delightfully red in an instance. Like any other fan, Zai Zai smiled and left hesitantly at the end. (Yes-May 31, 2002)

Chang Ji Zhong really wants F4 to star as the male leads in his ancient series, "Guan Xi Wu Ji Dao." Other than that series, he also wish that a member of F4 could act in "Tian Long Ba Bu." Most of the cast for "Tian Long Ba Bu" have already been selected except for the role of Duan Yu. He wants to find a young and well-known person to play this character. Since this is one of Jing Yong's written creations, the role of this Da Li's prince is very handsome. According to him, Vic Chou is one of F4's best looking, so he could fit this role rather well. If Vic is too busy to accept this assignment, then any one of the remaining F3 members would be fitting as well. Anyways, it is still a mystery whether or not F4 would be in either "Tian Long Ba Bu" or "Guan Xi Wu Ji Dao." (Sing Tao Daily-May 29, 2002)

Taiwan's "Hua Hang" plane crashed about half an hour after takeoff, but many well-known singers still continue to take chances flying with them. Singers such as Richie Yan and F4 are frequent flyers of "Huan Hang." Ken Chu was in Hong Kong to film Gigi Leung's MV and was suppose to be on the plane that crashed. Luckily, he was too tired and wanted to sleep a little longer, so he changed his flight to "Guo Tai (Cathay)" airline right before the crash happened. At the airport for his flight back to Taiwan, Ken was surrounded by many fans. Although, he had 10 bodyguards, his fans still managed to give him tons and tons of gifts, some even dropped to the floor. He waved goodbye to his fans right before entering the terminal, and his fans went out of control. The security guards ended up yelling at his fans, telling them not to do anything drastic. Another member of F4, Zai Zai, Vic Chou will also be taking "Hua Hang" to Hong Kong to sign a contract with Sony today. (Sing Tao Daily-May 26, 2002)

Even after returning to Taiwan, Jerry still can't forget about his 20,000 plus fans who showed up at his photo book's autograph session. He told reporters that he has never seen or deal with such a big event. There were fans who bumped their heads and bleeded. Seeing this, Jerry felt great heartache. He was so touched, he nearly cried seeing the strong support his fans have for him. As a result of numerous amount of fans, Jerry ended up staying another night in Hong Kong. He finally returned home on Mother's Day. He said that once he got home, the first thing he did was sleep. It was only that night, when he woke up, that he had time to spend with his mother. Being famous is a great feeling, but Jerry didn't want to run into any fans; so he and his mother decided to spend Mother's Day at home. He felt kind of bad for doing so.
