Jocelyn noticed a young man seated by the counter. "He is...?"
     "He’s..."
Tay got up from his seat and went to greet her. "Hello. I’m, Tay." He nodded to her and smiled.
"Hi. I’m Crystal’s cousin, Jocelyn." She glanced over at Crystal and noticed that she was blushing. "Do the two of you have plans?"
"Ah...I’m very fortunate to have her accompany me to lunch." Tay answered.
"Oh...okay. It’s already 1 o’clock. The two of you must be hungry. You should go now."
"It was nice meeting you." Tay said, politely.
"It was nice to meet you as well."
"Ah...Jocelyn. What did the doctor say? Is everything alright?" Crystal tried to change the focus point.
"I’ll tell you later. Go have lunch first. He’s waiting for you."
     "But..."
"Alright. I’ll tell you." Jocelyn whispered into her ear. "I’m pregnant."
"Really?" Crystal smiled. "Does Nicolas know?"
"Not yet. I plan to tell him over dinner."
"Congratulations!" She gave Jocelyn a hug.
     "Now. Go have lunch."
     "Okay."
"Goodbye." Tay said to Jocelyn once again before he turned to leave.
     "Bye."
Walking down the street, Tay tried to start a conversation. "What would you like to eat?"
     "It doesn’t matter."
     "Can you eat spicy food?"
     "A little bit."
"Ah...I know this great Thai restaurant. The Barbeque Chicken there is really good. Want to try?"
     "Okay."
While eating, Tay couldn’t help but noticed how exquisite her big, brown eyes were. He practically stopped eating, stunned by her beauty.
"Is there something on my face?" Crystal realized that he was staring.
With his thoughts interrupted, Tay snapped out of his trance. "Oh...it’s nothing." He smiled. "So...how’s the food? Do you like it?"
     Crystal nodded.
     "It’s not too spicy?"
     "No. It’s very good."
"Hey...Tay!" A female walked towards them. "Where have you been? I’ve been looking for you."
"Wasabi. What are you doing here?"
"I missed you." She gave him a hug.
Tay lightly pushed her away, afraid that Crystal would misunderstand.
"What’s wrong? Don’t you miss me?" Wasabi gave him a peck on the cheek.
"What do you want, Wasabi?" He tried to wipe the kiss off his face.
     "I want you."
     "Stop it! I have company."
Wasabi glanced over at Crystal. "Hi. I’m Tay’s girl."
     "Hello." She smiled, awkwardly.
"Quit joking!" Tay was in a slight panic, quickly trying to explain so that Crystal wouldn’t get the wrong idea. "Don’t listen to her, Crystal. She’s just playing."
"No. I’m not! I really love you."
"But...I don’t feel the same way about you."
"Why...you! Is it because of her?" She pointed at Crystal.
     "Yes." Tay replied without hesitation.
Crystal’s eyes widened, shocked to hear his answer.
Wasabi looked over at Crystal. "Tay is mines! Leave him alone...Old Lady!"
"No! You leave her alone!" Tay stood up in front of her. "Please leave...now!" He pointed at the door.
"You’re picking an old lady instead of me?"
"Love is love. Age doesn’t matter."
Wasabi lost control and slapped him across the face. "You are going to regret this. You watch! You’ll come back to me." Teary eyes, she raged out of the restaurant.
Tay sat back down. "Sorry about that."
"I’m done eating. I should go back to the store. Jocelyn’s waiting."
"Oh...okay. I’ll walk you back." He waved his hand to the waitress for the bill.
"It’s okay. Thank you for lunch." She got up and headed for the door.
Tay placed some money on the table and ran out after her. "Crystal. Wait!" He caught up with her and stood in front of her.
"I really have to return to the store. My cousin is..."
Tay leaned forward and interrupted her with a kiss.
Crystal lost consciousness for a couple of seconds before she could recollect herself. She pushed him away and slapped him. Tears dripped down her face and she ran off.
     "Crystal!"
