Jake and Tay sat in the back of the bus on their way to an appointment. They saw a man got on and sat down beside a girl with long, straight hair. He looked rather decent, clean-cut and in a suit. Slowly, he wrapped his arm around the girl’s shoulders. The two guys noticed that the girl was struggling to get away.
Tay immediately got up from his seat and went towards them. "Is this guy bothering you, Miss?"
Teary eyes, she looked up at him and nodded. Stunned by her beauty, Tay fazed out for a moment before he could continue.
"How dare you!" He grabbed the guy by the collar and pulled him up from his seat. With his fist, he punched the guy on the nose. "Get the hell out and don’t let me see you near her again!"
The guy immediately got off as soon as the bus stopped.
     "Are you alright?"
She nodded once again. "Thank you...." she mumbled, faintly.
"Hey, Tay!" Jake called him. "It’s our stop. Let’s go!" He grabbed hold of the black suitcase and headed for the door.
"I’m coming!" Tay shouted back to Jake, while staring at the girl. "I have to go. Be careful." He smiled and followed his friend off the bus.
"Hey, she’s pretty hot!" Jake gave Tay a pat on the shoulder.
     "Yes...very beautiful." Tay smiled, dreamily.
"I see my young friend here likes the mature type?" Jake teased.
"Hey...I’m already 20 years old. I don’t think she’s much older than me. Anyways...age doesn’t really matter as long as..." Tay noticed that Jake was not responding and realized that the guys they were suppose to meet have arrived early. They were standing in front of them, all 8 of them.
"Something doesn’t feel right. Watch out for any tricks." Jake said as they walked towards the men.
     "Alright." Tay nodded.
"Hey...Jake! You are finally here." The leader of the gangsters walked towards Jake and gave him a hug.
"Bill Gor. Nice to see you, too! Sorry...we’re late." Jake faked.
"No...no... You’re not late. I must be early."
"Tay. Say hello to Bill Gor."
     "Bill Gor."
"Ha ha...you have yourself a good helper." Bill switched to a serious face. "Let’s get on with the trade. Did you bring the stuff?"
     "What about the money?"
The two sides took turns opening their suitcases to insure that it was a fair trade.
"At the same time...I’ll give you the money, and you give me the stuff." Bill negotiated.
     "Okay." Jake agreed.
With one hand giving and the other hand taking the suitcases, they made the switch. Suddenly, Bill’s men pointed their guns at Jake and Tay. Jake immediately snapped open the suitcase in his hand and swung it over him. The money flew all over the place and scattered everywhere. The distraction didn’t last, but it was enough for them to catch the men off guard. They fought off the men with full power, but it was still a losing battle. There were too many of them. Tay got punched, kicked and slashed on his left arm with a watermelon knife. Jake got hit a few times on the face, but he got his worth of revenge.
     "Tay! Are you alright?"
"Yes." He wiped the blood trailing off a corner of his mouth.
The two started running away and the men chased after them. They decided to run into an alley filled with many splits.
"Tay. You’re hurt. You go this way. I’ll distract them." Jake commanded.
"No. We go together. I can’t leave you to fight them alone."
"Listen to me. I’ll be fine." Jake gave Tay a light push. "Now...go before they catch us." Jake turned to run as soon as he finished. Tay didn’t even have a chance to say another word.
Tay struggled to get as far as he could, but he was becoming weaker and weaker as his blood continued to flow out. Lightheaded, he finally lost his balance and collapsed on to the ground losing consciousness. Tay had fainted in the back alley of a floral shop. The door opened and a girl took out a basket of unwanted leaves to throw in the trash. Seeing a man lying on the ground covered in blood, the girl was scared pale.
"Hello. Are you okay?" She slowly walked towards the man. "It’s you?" She realized that it was the guy who saved her this morning from that pervert on the bus.
