Wellington Estate Pool Parties
the next generation..
Intro
You
might ask yourself at this point,"how does someone put together wild pool parties,
how do you pull it off?"
Well you need a few things, a pool for one, women
of course is another, and a little luck is what makes it go.
My luck resides with
my lovely assistant Miss Judy. Judy is the one who put together the new era of pool
parties these lovely ladies would have not participated strictly on my behalf.
Judy's
persistance, as early as 1997 is what forged this 'group' for a new tradition of
holiday pool parties. Most of the women you will see here work at the performing
arts theater which was revamped after 1993 and/or have been associated with the estate for some time.
There are many new faces and some
familiar people from the past in our new era of pool parties and we'll introduce
them to you along the way.
Independence Day Pool Party
July
4, 1999
After much planning and perhaps some arm twisting in the beginning, the new era of Wellington pool parties started in July of 1999.
Miss
Judy is our lovely new host of the pool parties filling the role once occupied
by the wonderful Anna Wellington. Judy is actually a bit coy about losing her bikini
but was determined to start this tradition out right.
Lets meet some of the people
making up our new tradition of pool parties...
Jenna
VanAusdale is my administrative assistant for all things relative to the Wellington
business functions. I'll let you in on a secret, for this pool party Jenna took this
photo privately for Judy and we can only hope she becomes less shy. Jenna has been
with us since 1997 and aside from her sexiness I should be quite clear that she is
a top notch pro in her career with a business education and experience in banking
prior to joining us, Jenna is a professional day in and day out, organized, concise
and dependable as clockwork. Beauty and smarts, we're lucky to have Jenna with us.
Cecelia
Arneaux is a friend from Judy's side of the family who has been renting the Trestian
home on the lakefront. Cecelia has been with us nearly 2 years now and was a big
advocate of the holiday pool party revival. Cecelia is not at all shy about skinnydipping,
she does so in the lake all the time.
Above we see the lovely auburn raven soaking
some sun on the floaty raft.
Considering
Cecelia's openness with swimming nude, we volunteered her to be our first new era
'underwater photo shoot' joining the ranks of infamy with Beverly Schuyler nearly
40 years ago!!
Meet
Candice Rhyans joins us at our new era pool party. Candice has been a model for a
number of years and has been a main event performer at
the newly revived theater. Candice has become more involved in theater scripts working
closely with Judy thus the two have become close in the last few years. Cody Range
works for Wellington Timber in the footsteps of his father Zeke who actually started
with the timber company back around 1970.
As you can see in the photo above, Candice
arrived at the party in full swimwear...
I
was amazed and rather delighted to see that Candice had relaxed her swimwer philosophy
toward the end of the afternoon....
We made many attempts to contact anyone
we could from pool parties past to join us for the new era of holiday pool parties....
Jennifer
Lyn joined us for our new era of pool fun. Jennifer appeared at the pool parties from 1977-1979
and worked in the theater for about 4 years.
Jennifer will turn 40 later
this year, she's stayed quite active over the years, she's married with 1 child and
clearly looks fantastic.
Melissa
Martin started in the theater in late 1982 as a 17 year old waitress who then got
involved in the theater work soon after. Melissa was at the 83 pool party and enjoyed
her work in the theater albeit short lived after Anna's passing away in late 83.
Melissa
has since married with 2 children and is now a paralegal in a nearby town. Melissa's
husband was in attendance for this party as the two celebrated a vacation getaway
however he did not wish to be part of this photo shoot.
We thank Melissa for returning
here and joining us in the fun.
Jackie
McCareins also started in the theater as a waitress and is gradually getting
more involved in the acting. Jackie is young, sassy, and a bit unreliable in work
terms but we seem to like her anyway...
Past Pool Party Member
Pauline Nash
The
most ironic behind the scenes story is that of Pauline Nash, the long time pool party
lovely at Anna's parties. It had been nearly 2 years in the making before Pauline
would respond to me with any real dialogue and for the longest time she refused to
take party in any pool parties. Pauline has children but has endured some struggles
with 2 marriages in the years following the theater and had been in a bit of seclusion.
After a long period of warming up, Pauline agreed to appear at the theater again
this summer and according to Pauline, after 'doing up her hair' and a tad bit of excercise,
Pauline is 54 going on 24.
Pauline Nash and Scott Valdo were the leads
for the return to the theater and they hit it off pretty well; so much so that Scott
pleaded her to attend the pool party and as you can see she did just that and Pauline,,
being a pool party veteran, did not even bring a swimsuit.
Welcome back Pauline!!
John
Cass is the grandson in law of James Corey and my business partner in the Wellington
Contech division. I had to put this photo of Cass on here because this is the best
the guy has ever looked in his life, must be the camera angle or something......
This
is John Cass's wife Julia Cass; granddaughter of James Corey whom of which I was surprised
but very delighted that Julia agreed to attend the party although its not really
her thing, Julia doesnt like the water but she sure looks good when in it.
Lori
Loom is another of the new actresses involved with the theater. 1999 is Lori's first
year in the theater and she's made quite an impression for her funny yet scantily clad
roles in acting.
Here we see Lori having fun in Wellington style tradition, again
with fellow actor Scott Valdo.
Meet
Judy's cousin Emma. Emma is a pulse riser anytime she stays for a visit at the estate.
Emma in involved in adult venues primarily in France and comes back for 2 months
at a time. One never knows what Emma may have planned at any given time, she can
be quite fickle and utilized this pool party as scenery for a publicity photo op...
at least she shared one with us.
Rachel
Henney is another new actress at the theater starting in 1998. Rachel enjoys the
atmosphere working in the theater and is working part time while pursuing a business
degree as well...
Rachel
loves to be around water and out in nature and we certainly wanted her to enjoy nature
here at our pool party....
Chelsea
Gomes brought a taste of the theater to the pool party sporting this so-called bikini...
The theater is historically known for its sexy satire and Chelsea wore this particular
suit in one of the theater productions; emphasis on small suit....
The
wildest photo of the day, though as its seen out of context, is by our own Miss Judy
and her friend actress Karen Shay.
To give this perspective, Karen is reminiscent
of Sherry Glasone in not only being an actress but handling a lot of coordination
along with Judy at the theater. Karen has been over many times for a swim and this
staged moment was actually in the midst of a "water raft fight" between
the two albeit totally playful yet rather provacative and sexy. When I mentioned
this to the ladies, Karen "laid one" on Judy thus the photo you see....
all in fun....
Though we didnt have the attendance we had hoped for, the new era of Wellington
pool parties was a big success.
The party was fun, frivolous, rather eye opening,
and everyone had a great time, so much so that we were determined more than ever
to keep it going in the years to follow.
